Tdisc mid season grades

Courtesy of Tsn.ca

Bull Patterson: B- Bull entered his tryout agreement on fire. Within a week he had a hill named after him(Bull Hill) and was pegged as the favorite going into the island marathon. Bull continued to impress...making great strides in the pool and even made a bold statement and purchased a bike from our major sponsor(Smooth Cycle). For personal reasons Bull was forced to withdraw from the Island Marathon. It was then that he began to show signs that he was entering his first ever dog days. The pressure of trying to become a world class triathlete while working a job and going to school had caught up to the bull. The bull got Burnt out! The good news is that he stuck with the team. On Dec.12th in front of Tdisc nation...Bull was innaugurated into Tdisc. He has gone home for christmas to get rejuvenated for the stretch run. Before he left he made it clear to the team that he was going to be better in the second half. We know he's going to be good....but just how good? Coach Tdisckree summed him up best when he said "if he can see you than he'll catch ya."

Captain Tdiscgreggy: B+ The captain let everyone know early on that he wasn't fooling around this year. There would be no excuses...he was going to do what he needed to do to get better. As a team we felt that the captain was ready to move out from under the admirals wing. How would the captain handle getting up without the burnt english muffin alarm clock. The captain handled it well...only being late a few times. The captain is rumoured to have set up his bike on the trainer at home and does a few rides in the evenings. He has also joined the ever growing Ed. Fitness class. Like TDB he has also begun to show signs that he is entering the dog days. Tdisc will need the captain to continue to lead by example in the second half if they are to have any chance at surviving.

The Admiral: A- The admiral made a statement to start the season with a high placing at the Island Marathon. When the bull put the hammer down...it was the admiral that had to respond. We expected him to drop at bull hill...but he didn't! Then came along the next one. He took a week off and then came back to the team. Everyone said he couldn't do it....but he has. He shows up regularly for morning workouts...not always overly talkative, but he still comes and puts in a good workout. We've even been able to reason with him on a few occasions. His go hard attitude has tamed down a bit, but he still remains aggressive in the pool. Next Friday he will put his 18-0 record on the line in swim class when he lines up in the 50m 1 arm freestyle. He's our big gun and everything is pointing towards greatness in the second half. If it doesn't cost to much...he'll podium in June.

Coach Tdisckree: c- TDK couldn't keep his momentum following the island marathon. It wasn't long into training camp when rumblings began about the dismissal of him as coach. His attitude and work ethic were poor. He struggled with the dog days which often led to excuse filled texts that led to the absense of him at workouts. He was once quoted as saying "I don't think i've ran in a month boys." His attendance at workouts was far and few between. He has come leaps and bounds but still hasn't proven that he can control his bowls when the race is on the line. We know what he can bring the team and expect him to bounce back in the second half. He is the mastermind of Tdisc and holds the team record for the best finish in a triathlon. A successful season for tdisc rests on the shoulders of the coach.

Tdiscpye: B- The author of the blog started the year on a high note by setting a new personal best in the Island Marathon. He didn't slow down there...he joined ed. fitness while still working out with Tdisc. To the world it looked like tdp was on his way up in Tdisc, but the team knew that he wasn't handling life in the public eye very well. Tdisc knew that at any point in time the blog could be in search of an author. Food and texting have got the better of him in the first half. He has shown signs of being able to beat these addictions, but not on a consistent basis. Without change...don't expect the blog to make it out of January.

CRM John "Cubag" Cusack: B+ The CRM was thrown right into the fire with his duties in the 1st annual Tdisc Santa Claus run. He immediatly had the team on KRock. The team then went a week without hearing from him and almost canned the newly appointed CRM. On Dec. 22nd Cubag proved his worth when he got Tdisc on the front page of the guardian. What's next for the CRM?

The return of Bryan

With the holiday's coming to an end, and the thought of going back to work tomorrow...Bryan has tried to rear his ugly head. All I have done is eat and sleep for 4 consecutive days. If it's healthy then I don't want it. It's not good. I went to blog earlier today and Bryan convinced me to go have a sleep instead. My feeling right now is that he is back.

I've talked and heard a lot about yoga lately. I know my flexability needs some attention but I just haven't gotten around to it. Well yesterday I thought it was time to square off with my flexibility. So I got on youtube and found a yoga session for beginners. So I closed my bedroom door and set the computer up in front of a vacant area where I would perform my yoga. So I press play and the lady tells me to sit indian style. I don't think i've sat indian style since elementry school. It all went down hill from there. So if you can picture it...i'm on the floor in my room trying to get my feet up on my knees in the indian style position...almost on my back...nearly popping blood vessels in my head from the stress...just reafing on my legs. I swear my hips at some points felt like they were going to pop. Anyways...it was a wake up call. This is something that needs to be dealt with immediately.

Just a reminder that on Jan. 1st I will be unveiling the first ever Tdisc Year In Review. Also this week I will be releasing the mid season grades for the team.

Holiday update

On Saturday we went for our last team run of the '09 season. The admiral, Tdisct(w), and the next one flew to Ontario that evening. It's been quiet without the whole team around. This morning Tdisckree had to work, so the captain and I went for a short run. I plan to take a few days off over the holiday's to rest my body. I still plan on doing the odd swim and run. It was a tough first half but it was also quite relaxed around the TTF. Come Jan. 1st/10 the panic button will probably get pushed. WE will be in the year of the triathlon. We will begin to swim more, hit the legs harder, and increase the running. 2010 is going to be a big year for Tdisc.

My blogs have been sporadic and will continue to be until the new year. There will be a special blog on January 1st to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the blog. It's hard to believe that it's been one year.

From Tdisc and all of us here at bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Eat what you want....in moderation!

Tdisc Breakfast

In a surprise move the big gun called a team breakfast. Instead of doing our usual Friday swimming class, we all met at Smitty's for a team breakfast. It was a way for the boys just to sit back and chat before going into the christmas break. Here is a copy of the mornings meeting courtesy of the team coach.

"Just wanted to put in writing the minutes of the meeting this morning. I thought the meeting was very good and we accomplished a lot. This is a great organization that we are a part of and I look forward to the promising 2010 that this organization is going to experience.

Here are a few things that I just wanted to Clarify.

1. There will be an "Admiral's breakfast" once per month. The day is always determined by the Admiral.
2. All fans/supporters/family members of TDISC will now be known as TDISC NATION.
3. Team members only item.
4. Team members only item.

Thanks,
Merry Christmas.

TDK - Head Coach"

Tomorrow we have a long run scheduled. This will be the last official team workout of '09. For anyone who is keeping track...my food addiction has taken a turn for the worst. I'm on damage control. Just trying to survive the holiday's.

Captain talks about giving

Last night we delivered our gifts to the ten families that we have chosen to help. I never even really thought about what it would be like until I was at the first house with the admiral. It hit home fast when we were handing over the card filled with gift cards.
One of my favorite things about Christmas is watching people open their gifts from me, it always makes me feel good inside. I have never experienced such a genuine thanks, as much as last night. After last night I am inspired to raise and help that much more. The people we gave to last night, we not only waiting for us, but very excited to see us. It was a amazing experience.
As great as it was to see the thanks, the state of these houses and families was very hard to see. One house we went to, the mother was not in the right state of mind, with three little girls there. This was a huge eye opener and for a while the car was quiet after a few of these houses. We were all just thinking how rough these children have it.
I will more than ever be grateful for EVERYTHING I have this Christmas, and a true heartfelt thank you to all of you that have made it possible.

Preparation

The last couple days have been tough trying to decide how to spend the money in a way that we are going to get the most mileage out of it. Without going into much detail, we were given some good advice from people who know what they're talking about. They were able to point us in a direction that would best suit the families. We came up with a package that would able them to buy gifts as well as food. How much in each gift card depended on the size of the family.

Through much help the admiral was able to compile a list of families that needed it most. The families have been notified that we will be coming and will be expecting us tomorrow evening.

For me this experience has been an eye opener. You really don't understand how hard it is for some people this time of year. Some of the stories that I've heard are really hard to believe. I've never thought about not having heat for christmas....or having nothing to eat. We just take so much for granted.

Again thank to all who have so generously given to help a few families at christmas. This just goes to show that by even giving 20 bucks each we can make a difference. We will be delivering the packages tomorrow night on behalf of the Tdisc and it's fans. It's pretty exciting stuff.

Today we went for a run minus bull patterson. Bull has gone home for christmas. We wish bull safe travels and a merry christmas.

On behalf of Tdisc and Bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com i'd just like to wish Alex Bain a happy 22nd birthday.

Tdisc's Big Night!

This blog is brought to you by: Smooth Cycle (The official bike shop of Tdisc)

Thanks to www.therunman.blogspot.com/ you have the opporutinity to see pictures of Tdisc at the 1st annual Tdisc Santa Claus run.

I'm pleased to announce that donations are still continuing to roll in. Therefore we will not be releasing the final number until tomorrow evening.

We had a great evening last night. All 5 tdisc members dawned Santa Suits and completed a 5k run around Charlottetown in the sub zero temperatures. For myself I never thought that the belly and hair were going to play that much of a factor in the run. I'm a gagger as it is so when the hair got in my mouth I found myself keiled over dry heaving. It was ok though...I hardly missed a stride. Thanks to Greg, my suit stayed in tact throughout the race. Afterwards we spent some time with fellow roadrunners over some chilli. On behalf of Tdisc, again we thank the roadrunners for allowing us to be a part of their race. Thank you for the donations and your kind hospitality. It really added to the whole experience. The people who came to cheer us on and support us however they could...Thank you! Your efforts did not go unnoticed. To our CRM....Great Job on your first event. This is just the first of many. This run would not have been possible without the Santa suits. To those who generously allowed us to use them...Thank You! KRock....Thank you so much for the great plugs. Endless amounts of people told me about them. You are the official Radio Station of Tdisc.

$3400+ speaks for itself. None of this is possible if people aren't willing to give to your cause. To all the donators....We can't thank you enough. It's really truly unbelievable the amount of money that was so generously given. We know of 10 families who are really struggling to get just 1 gift for their kids at christmas. Well thanks to you guys....they have the opportunity to get something for their kids this year.

To Tdisc: We've always said that you have to be a little off your rocker to do what we do day in and day out. The day we thought about running 5k in santa suits for charity and thinking that we were going to get some money...had to be the most far fetched thing that we've ever came up with. Wow! Can you believe it?
I'm extremely blessed to be surrounded by these guys. When we hit our goal of $2000 it was like...."ok...let's get 3000." Like our slogan says "Why Not?"

It was a very special night for tdisc for 2 reasons. 1. of course the 1st annual Tdisc Santa Claus run. 2. We had the opportunity to welcome a fifth member to the team. Below are the minutes of Bull Patterson's innauguration Night.

I TDISCADMIRAL do anoint you BULL PATTERSON the second big gun of
TDISC.
On behalf of Tdisc I accept you into this distinguished group. In this
I entrust that you will be loyal to the team, put the team endeavors in
front of your own, read the blog daily which may include public ridicule
from the author TDISCPYE, follow your captain TDISCGREGGY, listen to
your instructions from the coach TDISCKREE, train through pain and
injuries, and last and most importantly ….. BE ON TIME…..(twist head)
BULL, BE ON TIME…or you’ll be a STEER !!

TDISCADMIRAL : I now ask the fans of Tdisc to raise a hand toward Bull
Patterson and repeat these words.
“ We fans of Tdisc vow to support and encourage BULL PATTERSON. We
now recognize BULL PATTERSON as the fifth member of TDISC.”

TDISCADMIRAL : BULL – Repeat after me.
“ I Josh Bull Patterson accept the distinguished honor of becoming a
member of TDISC. I vow to uphold the following creeds:

Protect the Admiral against all competitors or unruly fans.
Read the blog daily.
Be on time!
Don’t be late for training sessions.

ADMIRAL: Ladies and Gentleman I give you the newest member of TDISC,
and from this day forward he shall be known as ….. TDISCBULL

The calm before the storm

We are on the eve of Arguably the biggest day in Tdisc history. We are right now sitting at around $2200. We want to do up a $300 package per family. So as of now we have enought to do 7-8 families. We talked about it as team and we have decided to raise our goal to 10 families. From this point on the amount will not increase on the blog. A grand total will be posted on Sunday. We will be arriving at the armories for the race around 5:15....the more support there the better. Following the race will be the after party. All Tdisc fans are invited to this special evening. It's going to be exciting when we release the final number and when we welcome another person into Tdisc. I can't release many details on this other then it will be the admiral innaugurating the bull.

Today I woke up to gail force winds. I immediately thought to myself..."why did we agree to run this morning?" So we arrived a little late...well buddled up for an outdoors run. I couldn't think of any other way to warm up for the Santa run then a stiff 5k on ice with a -15 windchill. The big news on the run was the whereabouts of Bull Patterson. I'm not going to go into details on this but I have a message for the bull. This is your free pass bull...next time you get roasted. The run was brutal. You know it's really windy when the boys have the heads tilted into the wind.

As promised...Today is Flasback Friday! Well here it is...It is Feb. 18th/09. Tdisc had reached a boiling point in the dog days. Tdiscpye and the admiral were not getting along. Something had to be done....Enjoy!

Tdisc Press Conference
Tdisc Training Facility - Feb. 18/09
(Table is set up at the front with 4 microphones. From left it's Tdiscpye, Tdiscadmiral, Tdiscgreggy, and Tdisckree. Everyone else is mingling around out in front of Tdisc.)

7:00:01 P.M.- (The author of the blog...Tdiscpye) Friends, family, reporters, fellow triathletes, prime minister Stephen Harper. Thank you all for coming today...we appreciate the support we have gotten over the past 160 days of training. We've had many ups and downs through the process but none bigger than what happened on monday. When you live your life in the public eye, sometimes you feel a lot of pressure. (Captain Tdiscgreggy reaches over and puts his arm around The admiral.) This man took the weight of Tdisc on his shoulders for as long as he could before finally he snapped. Things were said and actions were shown by members of Tdisc which eventually led to the Tdisc shakeup. (Tdiscpye reaches over and puts his arm around the admiral) Apologies were given and apologies were accepted. We have overcome our differences to continue our push to Fredericton '09. In the process a proposal was put on the table for the Red Island Relay. I'll now hand it over to Tdisckree to explain the details of the proposal.

(Tdisckree) Good afternoon, In the wake of Monday's blowup I came up with a proposal for the Red Island Relay.TDISKREE and TDISCGREGGY VS. TDISCADMIRAL and TDISCPYE.

take it or leave it......

I think the teams need to be across family and household lines. Also, this will force tdiscadmiral and tdispye to get along better. the two biggest names in tdisc will be forced together. This leaves each team with a good runner and good biker.
TDISC has been getting stale lately and really looking for blogging material...this announcement will send the fans and media into a frenzy and clear the uncertainty that awaits us in 100 days in Brudenell.
Looking forward to hearing back from the Pye-Admiral camp.
I'll now hand it over to the Captain of the team for his spin on things.

(Captain Tdiscgreggy) I think this proposal is a positive thing, because of a number of reasons….
TDISCKREE born 1980 TDISCADMIRAL born 1980
TDISCGREGGY born 1983 = 54 TDISCPYE born 1983 =54
Strong Biker, Strong Runner. Strong Biker, Strong Runner
Neither team lives together, so no sneaking out together to get a workout in. Everything will stay honest.
This will also force each other to continue and be strong, because now if that one person backs off it will let down another. Friendly competition makes the end result faster, because now you are not running and biking for yourself, but also another team member.

(Tdiscadmiral) BOY'S IT'S ON!!!!!!When two emotionally charged individuals come together everyone elsebetter get the hell out of the way. I will help my new partner battle his food addiction and he will helpme battle my rage problem. We will be on call for each other 24hours aday. I have now decided to invest in a cell phone. I will only betaking calls from my new partner tdiscPye. I wish all participants the best of luck in the Red Island Relay. Watchfor us on the podium.

(Tdiscpye) I agree with the admiral. I don't think there will be any doubt we'll be good. I extremely excited to work with John...he's one guy I know i'll never have to kick him in the rear...i'll just have to keep pulling him back. With him now getting a new cellphone we will be in touch and immediatly we'll start crunching numbers. I have a time in my head for the admiral...I just have to convince him that it is reachable. I'm excited for what's to come...it'll be one heck of a ride. So the field is set...Tdisc #1 will be the favored Tdisckree and Tdiscgreggy. Tdisc #2 will be the admiral and myself. I will now hand it over to Tdiscgreggy to close out this press conference.

(Captain Tdiscgreggy) This week in the life of T.Disc is a prime example of the trials and tribulations we go through to become triathletes T.Disc has grown from these experiences to become more than a team, but a family. In the face of real adversity the joking stops and the outcome is a stronger, closer unit, some even venture to say a band of brothers.
This week was also special because we selected our partners for the Red Island Relay. This was a positive because it separated us into partners in which were strong in one leg and weak in another. This was a move to take our training to the next level, by forcing us to work on our weaker activity.
This was a great week overall for T.Disc because we have had a day’s rest and released all tension in the air and moved forward. Great effort by everyone today, and can’t wait for tomorrow! Thanks for coming.

Today was a good day for Tdisc. We had a great weights session and swim. Everyone was very positive and supportive of one another. Bike and run tommorow....no spin.

Till next time,

Just another Thursday

Scratches: Bull Patterson (concussion) Day-to-day

We recieved word that bull is feeling better and will be ready to go on Saturday. It's great news for Tdisc.

We did our usual thursday morning sprint workout on the bikes. Biked for about 40 mins, did some abs, and then stretched. It was a very quiet day at the TTF this morning. Pretty much all the talk was about the upcoming weekend. Our CRM sent out a memo last night to the team and it looks like everything is still on track.

Not much to blog about today. Donations continue to come in. Tomorrow is flashback Friday. I assure you that it will be a must read.

Hump day.....Again!

Scratches: Bull Patterson (concussion) Day-to-day

Whenever i'm training with Tdisc the weeks just seem to fly by. It's Monday and then next thing you know it's hump day. For me, today was one of those day's where you know it's hump day and you're doing everything that you can to get over the hump. Last night I was up wayyyy past my tdisc bedtime which led to an exhausted TDP this morning. I battled from start to finish today, however I did find a way to swim well. I luckily drew the same lane as the big gun. When you swim with the admiral you are always motivated to swim hard. When you're swimming you can sometimes sense him coming behind. It's like when you're in the ocean and it's all dark underneath and u sense something....you start to panic....you begin to kick like a madman....your arms are getting caught in the water because you're flailing so hard. When you're finished...you feel like you have survived.

This past week has been very exciting regarding the 1st annual Tdisc Santa Claus Run. We have been recieving emails, phone calls, and even face to face conversations asking how they can go about supporting the run. The support so far has been absolutely remarkable. I'm completely blown away! For me the only problem I have is that when I get too high my food addiction flares. For example: Today I was recieving emails and texts about donations and I didn't even realize I was double fisting the box of chocolates that was sitting by the computer. As I went to get my phone and send a text I found myself elbow deep into a bag of party mix that only had pretzels left...I don't even like pretzels! Anyways....I can deal with the food addiction....keep the donations coming!

A special thanks to Colin MacKay at KRock. I never heard the plug but from what I hear it was awesome. Thank you so much from all of us here at Tdisc.

Thanks to all who have donated so far....it's you the people that are making this a success. We're just 5 guys running in Santa Suits. Say what you want though...it's going to be friggen funny. We have momentum....let's keep the ball rolling.

I'll leave you with a something to think about. It's beginning to get dark out...the streets of downtown Charlottetown are quiet. The temperature drops and the gun goes off. In the distance you notice a large group of runners and at the front.....5 Santas!

Tdisc holds short press conference

Before I get to the minutes of last night's press conference i'll talk a little about this mornings run. The word went out yesterday morning that bull patterson had been diagnosed with a concusion that he recieved over the weekend. Yesterday evening the bad news had been confirmed. Details of injury have not been released.

We arrived at the TTF this morning in preparation for our first snow covered sidewalk run of the season, without our coach and our big rookie. So the admiral, captain, and I started our run down towards the trail when we spotted something quite noticeable in the distance. If you ever saw bull patterson driving before then you know exactly what we're talking about. It was large and black....with the lights flickering and the horn honking....It was Bull! Out of the truck jumped bull...."jeez boys...I knew it was going to be close." "Bull where are your mitts?" asked the admiral. "I don't have any admiral." replied bull. "Here I brought an extra pair" the admiral said while handing the mitts to bull. "Bull...should u be running with a concusion?" the captain asked. "I have to run...we have a big run on saturday." The bull replied. He took the tdisc approach to injuries...run the injuries out of you. The run went well....we ran for about 40 minutes and then finished off the workout with a short stretch.

Last night Tdisc scheduled a news conference to introduce John Cusack as Tdisc community relations manager. It was scheduled for 5pm in the TTF lounge. With Tdisc members lounging in the chairs and reporters gathered around pushing...trying to get a better view, I took to the mic to introduce the man of the hour.

TDP: "Good evening. Thank you to all who were able to attend this press conference. We don't have a lot of time...so i'll get right to it. Due to the big week ahead we will not be taking any questions. I speak on behalf of all tdisc when I say that we are ecstatic to be bringing on a man of this caliber. Ladies and Gentleman the stagmaster himself....John Q-bag Cusack!"

CRM: "TDisc, and all supporters,
I, John Q-bag Cusack, consider myself very lucky to be given the opportunity to join the TDisc team. To take part in such an organization is truly a blessing, but to be named Community Relations Manager is more than I could ever ask for. I look forward to working with athletes of this calibur and know that everyday working with Tdisc is something to be treasured. I can only hope I don't fall short of expectations. I was nervous when the vote took place but I think the nacho dip I supplied for the diaper party put me over the top.
All the best Saturday boys!!

"This guy will put us on the map !" -Coach Tdisckree

This is very exciting news. However, I have better news to talk about. We have now reached $1850 in the Tdisc Santa run. Folks...this something special. We are now making daily trips to the mailbox to recieve donations from away. I encourage you to be a part of this. The suits have arrived and we are all ready to run on Saturday. 5 days left to donate!

Coach addresses the team

Scratches:Bull Patterson (gf sick)

It was a slow morning for tdisc. We had a short swim followed by a quick hottub. And for those who are wondering...tdisc is really cranky on monday's. Especially the big gun...he doesn't like Monday's and after the weekend...today was no different. For the record my diet has changed to nacho dips and chocolate. After this mornings swim coach tdisckree publically addressed the team.
Good Morning Tdisc,

You may have noticed that I have attached the newest addition to the Tdisc family to this email. The big four have voted unanimously to hire on John "Cubag" Cusack as Community Relations Manager of TDISC. This title may change very soon to "General Manager" but we'd like to work him in slowly. Welcome to the Team Cubag !

As coach, I wanted to bring to everyones attention the importance of the week ahead and outline a few things we need to accomplish this week. I am sure Cubag will jump on these and give us each some individual direction, but lets make sure we take care of the following things.

1. Get Santa Suits - We race on Saturday.
2. Private- team only
3. Continue training - This is my big concern right now. We can't have Santa's walking in a 5k ...hahahhhah. or puking ! I am scared boys...I've been eating junk and that suit is gonna be friggin hot and heavy. Let's make sure we train well and can all finish the 5k respectively.
4. private- team only
5. private- team only
6. private- team only
7. Party details - Trace assign stuff to us that we'll need to pick up or make. I will take care of all the entertainment - Trust me, it is gonna be good. The christmas carols/trivia/skits/special music/and speeches will be good.

TDK
keep on keepin on !

Tomorrow we have a long run. Back to the slippery sidewalk running.

Till next time,
TDP

Breaking News!

Courtesty of Tsn.ca:

At a surprise diaper party for the admiral last night...Coach Tdisckree and Captain Tdiscgreggy were spotted having a tight lipped meeting with John Cusack over by the meatballs. A few minutes went by and then they called in the admiral and Tdiscpye. This usually means that there is about to be a vote. It is widely speculated that John Cusack has been voted into Tdisc. Job title and details of the deal to follow.

Flashback Friday!

At 4:52am this text came through..."Staying home sorry." It was from our big gun the admiral. When you're sending texts at that time of the morning....you're not working out. When the alarm went off I was quick to pull the plug on this mornings swim. I had a tough ed fitness class last night and a game of hockey at noon today. It's the off season...I felt like I could use the rest this morning. Our captain and coach also took the morning off but our prized rookie the bull decided to go work on his stroke.

As promised for the month of December, I will be having what is known as "Flashback Friday's." Well this week I've gone all the way back to January 30th/09. It was a Friday, the dog days were in full force...Tdisckree and I were quitting once a week. I was on a train going southbound. I had major soreness in a lot of areas. 3 days prior Tdisc laid the biggest single thumping on a teamate since Tdiscgreggy got left behind on the bike back in september of '08. That's when I finally said frig this and began to make the push for Fredericton. Tdiscgreggy was really feeling it at this point and just the day before had called out Spin class instructor Tdisct(w). The admiral was hampered with teeth problems and Tdisckree was ready to say "frig this" with tdisc. This was the end of an emotional roller coaster of a week...Enjoy!

Tdisc on edge leading into the weekend
I woke up this morning after having probably one of the best sleeps i've had in weeks. I left in great time giving me a chance to relax on the way in. As I was getting changed in the TTF lockerroom the other members of the big 4 came trickling in. I knew it wasn't good when Tdiscgreggy came in ahead of the admiral. Next thing ya know the admiral comes pacing through the doors...without saying hello he goes...."What". I knew we were in for a long one...but what I didn't know was that a meltdown in the pool was in store for a light friday workout.

Today we decided to add sprints to our half an hour jog. We'd sprint a half lap then jog...then sprint a lap...then jog. It was pretty tough but I felt like it was a good change. When we finished Tdisckree and I decided it was best we take 5 minutes and stretch...but Tdiscgreggy and the admiral decided to skip the stretch and head right to the pool.
when we were heading to the pool Tdisckree said "you watch...the admiral has a bad attitude and he's late...he'll be just pounding out the laps." Much to our surprise the admiral was perched up in what used to be known as Tdiscgreggy corner....friggin with his goggles. So we jumped in and started doing some drills. I felt good swimming today but i'll admit that I was a little thrown off having a person on each side of me wizzing by me like twice a lap. As I was taking a couple of breaths all I could hear was a loud vulger tirade coming out of Tdiscgreggy corner. It was the admiral...here is what I caught. "This is the last #&@%*$@ time I stop swimming for a week. I'm @#$&@$# brutal today." At 7:45 Tdiscadmiral exited the pool...hurling the pull buoy out into the middle of the aqua aerobics. Tdiscadmiral's swim today could easily be compared to the one back in October when Tdisckree was cutting him off at the spa. As for the rest of the team we had a pretty good swim. We got some great tips from a fellow triathlete Scott. By the way Tdisc thanks you for that Scott. We all exited the pool at around the same time with spirits pretty high....with lots of talk about this summers circuit.

Tommorow shapes up to be a good one. Tdisc may be looking to make another statement.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Early christmas gift

As we road the stationary bike it was suggested that we do a gift swap within the team. It was quickly shut down by the admiral(head of the budget). In a short statement the admiral said "no." It was then that the big gift came via our rookie. "I'm giving Tdisc 2 weeks of me being happy for christmas." Great gift from bull. I also gave out an early christmas gift. I'm going to give flashback friday's on blog. I will search through the blog archives and repost some of the greatest blogs of all time.

We had a great bike workout today with bull running us through an endurance set. We finished off the workout with a short weights workout. It's back to edfit tonight.

Just a reminder that there is only 9 days left to donate to the 1st annual Tdisc Santa Claus run.

The dog days!

I battled Bryan all last night....it's quite clear to me now that i've officially entered the dog days. I went to bed way too late and got up seeking some motivation to swim. For the first time in awhile I laid in bed and looked at the ceiling for a few minutes before getting up. Finally I rolled out of bed and threw on my trunks and left for the pool.

I entered the changing room to see the boys standing around waiting to go in for the swim. The admiral who was waiting impatiently finally got up and said "Time for those kids to get out of the pool" and stormed down the hallway. I entered a few minutes behind the rest...they were already going hard. I really battled it this morning...I often heard yells coming from the other lanes in the form of "get off the wall...get off the wall." I eventually settled into a rhythem and ripped off about 1200-1500m. We even through in a few scullie's at the end.

It's been a tough few days getting back into the routine from the weekend. I've been emotionally eating. Today I chocked on a pistacio shell and for some reason thought it would help if I ate a lot. Not the case...I just ended up sickening myself. My diet hasn't been that bad....I just need to get it fine tuned again.

Tomorrow we bike and do weights. Tomorrow night i'm back to ed fitness, followed by a swim friday morning. Should be a good end to the week.

Also, we are looking for an update from Central Canada. Katy Kat we haven't heard from you in awhile.
