Tdisc dresses 3 of the big 4

Suffering from what I thought at the time was flu like symptoms....I decided it was best that I take myself out of friday's lineup. I wasn't total comfortable with the decision but in the long run it was probably the right one. I just didn't stay in bed when the alarm went off...I got up and began mapping out a route on mapmyrun.com. Then I hollared in to Tdisckree's room..."get up...your going to be late." Then I went back to bed and talked to tdisckree from there. In the end I think it was just a bit of uneasiness over the trip to Japan. Right now i'm feeling pretty good.
Tdiscgreggy was very active with the media today....he had this to say about today."T.Disc had a great long run this morning, even though it didn’t feel the same without TDP. Tdiscpye was excused from the workout this morning to try and beat his flu like symptoms. Because the last thing we want is for him to get sick for his 15 hour flight. It was such a great feeling to get outside today, I was up early and in a great mood as soon as I woke up this morning. Even though I did fall behind and when I got to the TTF TDK had warned me to just put my head down and get dressed as fast as I could, the Admiral was not happy about our starting late. (this was after I witnessed TDK run a red light to get there on time). But once we got started the first couple km were tough, and I realized just how much my stride has stortened from the track/treadmill and all the biking/leg workouts. So I know now how much more stretching I am going to have to do to get back to race form. It was a beautiful morning and again great to be outside again. We had a long 11k run where we talked about, Tdisc, MIT, Freddy, TDpye in Japan, and flickthis. I did miss the sprints today, but overall great run today!"

He also took the time to give me a little send off. "This is just a few words from the Captain, we really missed you this morning. We totally understand you need rest to beat off this flu for your trip. It was a preview of the next two weeks, and your absence was not a great feeling. We are truly going to miss you in the mornings while you are gone, but just like all of us, you need your time away. I hope you have a great trip and have some amazing experiences. Try not to think too much about T.Disc and just concentrate on experiencing everything you can, because it is not every day you get to go to Japan. Who knows if you will ever get back. (Unless you meet a hot little…….) Anyways I just wanted to wish you a safe and great trip, we will miss TDpye but it is only a week or so.
All the best"

Thank you Captain Tdiscgreggy.

As you are well aware of....Tdisc is beginning to be recognized worldwide. Today while waiting to get my hair cut, I was looking through the national post. I came across an article that may interest some people.
" TDISC Goes Global - Tdispye to test Asian Market."
Charlottetown. Tdisc got an early jump on spring this morning and hit the roads running. They ran about 11 k around the scenic victoria park boardwalk. It was a very light mood and 3 of the big 4 couldn't help but talk about MIT 10 again this morning. One comment was " The pros start out ahead of the amateurs in the big races, but wow they're gonna get some fright when they seen tdisc pulling up to the lead pack part way through the bike." Tdiscgreggy said " boys, Imagine we got a shoe deal ?"
The workout however had a noticable ommision. Tdiscpye was feeling flu like symptoms and had to rest at Blue Heron for the morning. Tdiscadmiral was concerned but felt that " it was in the best interest of the team for him to stay home and rest." One concern felt by tdiscpye is that he is 48 hours from his trip to Japan and being sick would make for a long flight overseas. Media, bloggers, fans, and analysts have been bantering around rumours of why Tdiscpye is going to Japan at this point in the training calendar. Tdisc officials have stuck to their guns in saying that it is a business trip and that he's going to an Organic Farming trade show. Many aren't buying this reason.
TSN's Gino Reda had this to say " According to my sources tdiscpye is heading to Japan to sign a lifetime deal with YING FA swimwear."
Freddy MacDonald from the Guardian - " I tell ya what they are doing...they are looking for two top notch swimmers to pace the Admiral in the water. They are looking to add some top-end speed to the team which they haven't found in North America."
Peter Mansbridge on the NAtional -" How do you say bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com in Japaneese. The blog may be available in Japaneese in coming weeks."
FLICKTHIS - Blog follower - " He's testing the Japaneese market alright...checking out women. This guy is gonna come back here with a Japanese girl...he's a womanizer."
Either way Tdispye is off the Japan on the weekend. It will be tough on the other big 3 but they all feel it is something they can handle. Tdisgreggy thinks it provided opportunity to tdisctw to step up into a bigger role with tdisc..." I think it's a good opportunity for tdisctw, because she's only an affiliate right now and with pye out she has a chance to prove she can fit in with the big four."

I appreciate the support that I am recieving. I'm excited for what's ahead...I'm sure i'll love my time in Japan...but I know either way I have Tdisc to come back to. I have decided to continue blogging from Japan. I will recieve reports from the team and post it when I can. Remember 13 hour time difference. Time to go get packed. Enjoy your weekend....next blog comes from Toyko Japan.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Tdisc affiliate confirmed for MIT '10

I'm feeling a little under the weather tonight so it will be a bit shorter tonight. I hope i'm not coming down with the flu. That would make for one miserable 15 hour flight to Japan.
Today I woke up again tired...but never once did I think about missing spin. I arrived on time and ready to go for spin. T(w) as usually put the boys through a tough workout. I felt great on the bike....pushing the levels to my limit. When the sweat drips off my hat I know it's been a good day on the bike. It wasn't all smooth for Tdisc. The admiral arrived to find his usual bike(second from the right in the front row) broken. Being the great teamate he is, he battled through in order to keep the front row in tact. When asked about the admiral's performance today....Captain Tdiscgreggy had this to say "props to the admiral for not wanting to break up the team in the front row. I know I worked my bag off today, and it felt great. I had to keep looking over to see what gear the admiral was on and try and stay close. It was weird though, my bike only goes to 20 and I am pretty sure he was up around 25 when I looked once. I wonder if they made a special bike for him, because the other ones are not hard enough?" We went our separate ways after the bike. I went to the pool where I worked on my stamina in the water. I was doing good but I got bored without the team and started working on my flip turn. Any on looker would have mistaken me for a normal person rather than a tdisc member. In the end I didn't really accomplish anything more than a sideways summersault.

Today was the first day I really noticed how bright it is in the mornings now. It is a great sign for Tdisc. Combined with the warm weather means no more track time for Tdisc. Tommorrow will be our first outdoor run that we've had in a long time. Everyone is looking forward to it.

Tdisc spent more time today discussing MIT. Big news today came when team affiliate T(W) announced that she is confirmed for MIT'10. In a statement send to Tdisc head office...T(w) had this to say..."I just looked at the pics online of MIT. I'm in for next year! " So this brings the confirmed to 4. Tdiscpye, Tdisckree, Tdiscgreggy, T(w). Were still waiting on the admiral.

Everyone is excited for tommorow. Should be a good day.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Tdisc goes to new level in the pool

I woke up today feeling extremely tired...yesterdays 2 a day was tough on the body. By the time I woke up...checked the preds boxscore, and theguardian.pe.ca....it was time to leave. I didn't get breakfast so I convinced my traveling partner(tdisckree) to stop and get me a bagel. The comment that was made a few times on the way in was..."frig...were late...the admiral is going to kill us." Tdisckree once said "Man I hope I don't have to replace the door at the TTF." Things were quite calm when we arrived...everyone was kind of groggy. We cruised through a quick weights circuit then headed for the pool. For the first time in a while I was a little nervous for the swim....but this time it wasn't about swimming...it was about wearing my new trunks that were xxl and looked like a small. I found an article in the paper today that will sum up today's swim. If this article was in video it would have be x rated. enjoy.

The Guardian
"Sneak Peak at TDISC Training Wear."
Charlottetown - Today was a very low key workout for the big four. They participated in a weight circuit and swim. Intensity improved dramatically throughout the workout and the team actually extended their "school of fish" training drill to 4 repetitions. Team looked very much in sync in the water today and there was little "foot tickling"(swimming term for hitting lead swimmers feet with hands.) On a day with little drama, the new swimwear of TDISC was worn by two of the members. Tdisckree and Tdiscpye fashioned the new sleek YING FA swimming shorts. The media and fans on site were a buzz for all of the 7 seconds it took for the two members to get into the water. It was evident that they wanted to spend little time modeling them. A few comments from the big four were "they don't leave much to the imagination," "those are xxl ?", " I hope Trace got me a bigger pair then those," " Wow tdiscpye, they are even tigher from the back." It was confirmed that tdisc will stick with the YING FA swimwear for the duration of their "09 Training. Tdiscgreggy and Tdiscadmiral's two pairs are on route from China and the big four will be matching by late next week. The swimwear will be beneficial in and out of the water. They have less drag in the water which allows for faster times. Out of the water, they are quite revealing so little time will be spent chit-chatting on the pool deck....More time will be spent in the pool.
Just another example of Tdisc going to the next level and moving outside of their comfort zone.

Don Morrison

Tommorow were back to spin class. It's always great because you know your going to get a good hard, structured workout and it's near the end of the week. I look forward to tommorow. A schedule has been reached for the next few days. I'll post it at the bottem.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Tdisckree profile/race day recap

As I sat in my chair last night watching "the woman tell all"....I couldn't help but think...holy smokes it's 11 i'm going to be so tired tommorow. 6:05 the alarm went off..."wow...i'm tired"...so I went and used the bathroom then set the alarm for 6:12. Off goes the alarm again..."I'm going to be late"...so I got up and prepared to leave. As I was standing there talking to Tdisckree...I decided "Tdisckree if I stay here any longer than I'm going to end up back in bed". So I left to get breakfast and start on my way to the TTF.
It was great that school was delayed...the admiral wasn't in a hurry so we took our time preparing for race day. The race started at a very calm 2 k warm up ...then the pace quickened....the pack holding together until about the 5-6k mark that is when I dropped of the back...still keeping a decent pace. About the 7k mark Tdisckree dropped off the back leaving Tdiscgreggy with Tdiscadmiral hot on his heels. Tdiscgreggy kept his pace and held off the admiral to get back into the win column. Congratulations Capt. Tdiscgreggy.
Everyone ran a good race today...I personally felt great today...but the bad thing was that so did everyone else. A few quotes to sum up today's race. "That was nuts." "I didn't want to puke in front of t(w)". "I had it planned out that I would puke on the back stairs than clean it up later." "Tdisckree was right behind me than when I turned around the next time it was the admiral...I knew then the race was on." It was very intense. However...No drama.

Last week we profiled our great captain....this week we take a closer look at the leader and tacticion of tdisc. It's not easy to lead tdisc...or is it easy to change a teamates way in order to be more efficient rather than just bag yourself. But he finds a way. He's has the potential to think his way to the top of Tdisc. Ladies and Gentleman.......

Questions : Where do you see TDISC in 5, 10,20 years ?
In 5 Years we'll be around our 50th competition. By then we'll have competed in MIT 4 times, IN our second Island Games, Been to 3 Canadian Ch'Ships, Have won the Red Island Relay, and probably completed the San Fransisco Int. Triathlon. I hope that we will have made the Olympics....well at least have the admiral represent us in Britain in 2012.
Do you think Admiral is the front-runner for Fredericton ?
No...however, i will be extremely impressed with anyone who beats him. I will be shocked if he's not top 20.
What does TDISC mean to you ?
more than words. i've quit 10 times. I used to contemplate retirement every morning. Now I don't think about retirement. When i wake each morning I take about 2 minutes to think of a legitimate excuse for why I can't go to the workout. I haven't thought of one yet cause our group makes us accountable. TDISC is unreal. We have the best fans in the world, we have the fastest growing blog on the net.

What's it like being captain of such a emotional, intense, and sometimes psychotic group? I am not the captain. TDISCGREGGY is our captain.
Compare TDISC to the Yankees- similarities, differences.
Yankees - Well lets start with the brand. The Yankees are more than a sports team and i think the same thing can be said for tdisc. When people think of the yankees and tdisc they think of great teams, celebrities, they think of success, history. We sharte that with them.
Secondly, you have to look at how they run their team. No long hair, always professional. Tdisc is like that. When you see Tdisc running on the track, we are in single file or double blocked tightly so that we leave a full lane for other walkers, joggers. You can tell when tdisc runs the track that they are pros. Also, we don't allow long hair. we do allow well groomed mustaches like Don Matingly had. I will probably sport something like that at our first race.
Thirdly, our stars. Alex rodriquez. He has a tonne of pressure on him because he is a physical specimen. He is under constant scrutiny from the fans, especially when he slips up. However, his numbers speak for themselves. Tdisc has THE ADMIRAL - he also is under constant scrutiny from the fans, because he also is a physical specimen, and his results will speak for themselves. I think the Admiral will get bigger then A-rod for a couple reasons. 1. He doesn't take steroids (that we know of). 2. he's more of a competitor. 3. He has a better team behind him.
Fourthly, tdiscgreggy is way better than Jeter
Fifthly, discpye is way better than giambi and not on steroids either (that we know of)
sixthly, i am a better coach that Torre.
Who's your inspiration ?
Simon Whitfield - I will model my racing style to his. i will always wear a visor on the run and throw it off with a kilometer to go and sprint it in.
If you could cut one member of TDISC, who would it be ?
Well i've already cut timmy and domi. iwouldn't cut anyone from the big four. I might give the Admiral a couple days off like bob gainey gave Kovalev. I might give him some days off right before fredericton...make him ticked off so that he comes out like crazy on Race day.
If you could choose your partner for the Red Island Relay, who would it be ?
tdiscgreggy. he's the most positive, he's the most emotionally stable.
What is your pet peave ?
people who come onto the track and run for like 7 laps as hard as they can. they pass tdisc and think they are doing great. then they stop and tdisc keeps going for another 44 laps. also, people who talk smack about tdisc but are scared to run the same direction as them on the track on raceday.
How many colors do u have in your closet?I don't have a closet. I do have a couple hooks on the walls that do the trick. I try to keep with the standard colors...navy, black, white. My underwear is always black.
Do you still have that yellow old navy tshirt with the stretched scoop neck? No. however it was a great sleeping shirt. I have a similar grey tshirt that is my new sleeping shirt. The neckline sits halfway down my chest.
Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket? Yes. In Virginia. I forgot about it until now. I wonder if I'll get in trouble for not paying it. Holy cow, I can't believe I forgot about that but it did happen a day before me and Pye broke down on the George Washington Bridge in NYC. Then HYUNDAI's faulty warranty ripped me off Two Thousand Dollars. If you are reading this...NEVER BUY HYUNDAI. They are gutless, and a complet rip off. My Santa Fe has been a peice of junk since I bought it and they are gutless business people. Guess they won't be sponsoring TDISC.
Are you nervous about wearing a wet suit? No. I'm scared to see how grumpy the Admiral is when he buys one.
Will you be scared if you see a beaver in the lake during the triathlon? No. But a Shark at MIT...YES. I won't step foot in the water. IT'll be a DNF for me.
Have you ever felt the need to taser a fellow tdisc member? No. I did ask my fiance if she could get me a horse tranquilizer dart and dart gun...just in case we had a flare up on race day. I don't think a taser gun would do anything but tick the fellow member off.
How often do you eat mini wheats?I actually was on frosted flakes for much of the last couple months. however, I did purchase mini weats at the save easy today. I will have them twice a day. (two bowls each time). I try to stear clear of miniwheats on monday evenings and tuesday mornings. Race Day cleanses the system enough without the additional fibre.
What day will you remember most, crossing the finish line in Fredricton, MIT your wedding?- My wedding.- MIT will be more memorable if I see a Shark.
Who is your favorite member on tdisc? That is a tough call. I'd have to say that day in - day out Tdiscgreggy is who I look forward to seeing most.
What person outside of tdisc are you most afraid of?The person I am most scared of would have to be the guy on unsolved mysteries or Hannibal Lecter. I don't think either of them will be at the race so I'm not concerned about them affecting my race.
Is there a possibilty of a bowl movement during a race? There is a real good chance of a bowel movement during the race. However, the triathlon sets up good for me. The bike ride or swim won't get my digestive tract in motion. Runs on the other hand really seem to stir things up. Luckily the run is at the end and I can grim and bare it to the finish line. I might take on the Admirals diet prior to the race because he's been bound up for like 5 months according to him
If you could name Tdisc any other name what would it be?I think I would name it the All-Terrain Navigators in honor of the first multi-sport relay team I was ever on. The team consisted of John Cusack, Derrick Wells, Geordan Read, Evan Peters, Eddie Francis, tracey Gairns and myself. Our second choice for that team was "Mily Burphy's chomped up cookies."

In preparation for today's profile...the team each taped a personalized message for Tdisckree.

Tdiscgreggy-"As I was enjoying my day off on Saturday, I started thinking ahead to the Red Island relay. I remember back when my sister T.Disct(w) started participating in the race. I was always so impressed with how fast these people were going. Then one year I got a chance to be on a great team, Chris Craig who was always a great athlete needed a bikes and so my name was mentioned from tdisct(w). I was so excited, and since that day I never turned back continuing to take part every year but one. But there was always one team I was impressed by, it was T.Disckree and Q-bag. It was like the ultimate team, and who was always the anchor and did the best for the team was T.Dsickree. I always thought man, he is such a good biker it must be because he is such a good hockey player. I never thought ever I would be good enough to be on his team, LET ALONE be on a two person team with him. It is a great honor, and it makes me train harder everyday to strive to be at his level.
T.Disckree is a great leader, and always has our workouts ready for us, and divides us up to different workouts when it is needed. He is always pushing us to the next level, and we may not always like it, I know we will thank him when we see our results in this seasons upcoming races.
T.disckree always makes sure we are all involved in our workouts, and makes everyone of the big four feel a part of the team. And he also does the dirty work, as in holds back the admiral when he gets to into the time, picks T.discpye up when he starts to eat on emotion, or he needs help with the blog. And also when I am partying to much or slacking off, he pulls me aside and tells me what I need to hear.
He is a great leader and a even greater part of the team. T.Disc would not exist without him.
Thanks T.Disckree"

Tdiscadmiral-"You don't here much about this guy, he is the forgotten one of the big4, but his pressence is heavily felt on tdisc. He has stepped it up ina huge way since Christmas. He is our coach and our mentor when itcomes to triathlon training and does not get the press he deserves onthe blog. This man has come a long way. It was quit the site watching him swimon day 1. I didn't think he would make it. I had him pegged to be thefirst one to quit tdisc. He can now swim 30 lengths without saying "IRETIRE", and he can now run 8km without taking a crap. Tdisckree has been very benficial for my training as well. He is verystrategically sound. He will be a huge part of my strategy for when wedo our first triathlon. He is a great pace setter and he teaches me toslow down. I plan on using him as a pace bunny for when we are infredricton for the first couple of legs. Thank- you Tdisckree Good luck in Fredricton!"

T(w)-"Even though TdiscKree is prepping for this first triathlon in 2009, I believe his racing career began at the Red Cross relay in 1996 when he was a member of the All Terrain Navigators. TDK was to do the road bike leg of the race after a blistering start by Derrickey Loco Suave and then hand off to runner # 2, myself- Tdisc(w). Given that TDK had never raced before, I figured I had a good while before he came in. Stepping out of the port-a-potti with my jacket still on, I was shocked when I heard a loud yelp 'TRaceeeyyyy,' as Kris came flying in on my Dads Gold roadie, drooling as he handed me the wrist band. I threw my jacket in the ditch and took off, frightened by the ravaged look on his face, and impressed by how fast he made my Dads 20 year old bike pedal. Even though it has been a few years since the RCR days, I feel TDK is ready to bring that aggressive racing strategy back into action. The all terrain navigators in some way have been revitalized and it's going to be INTENSE!!! Good luck TDK!"

Tommorow should be business as usual for the team. We have a weights circuit and a swim.

We have begun to look into clothing for the upcoming season. Right now we have some empty spots for advertisement. If you would like to have your name associated with Tdisc....for the right price...we could make that happen. According to our annual report from our finance guy..."we just can't afford it." Also...I will be leaving for Japan on saturday...if you have any suggestions on what should be done about the blog during that time than please let us know. Thanks.

Till next time,

Off Day for Tdisc

Today Tdisc opted to take a day off today. With 3 of the big 4 away on a hockey road trip it left little time to work out. Were just heading out to the keg for the evening to enjoy our day off. Not much to report on other than we stopped for lunch at the Irving and I ordered a turkey club wrap platter and declined the fries and ordered rice. I got quite a reaction out of the table. "He's a triathlete" said tdisckree. "It's not a light switch...I can't turn it on and off" I replied. I'm starting to feel like a triathlete....when I was on the bus resting...I rested!

Another off day tommorow while on the road...back at it again on monday. Hope you have a great weekend.

Till next time,

Tdisc stopped at the door

After a tough start to the week...the team got things back on track yesterday with a great swim and weights session. Today would usually be our traditional thursday spin class, but with the way the schedule goes it turned out to be a break. So we decided to continue on with a cycling day at the gym at upei. I had a great night sleep and woke up in great time for the workout...had a great breakfast all ready to bag myself on the bike. So as were walking into the gym we get stopped at the door and asked for our numbers. I don't have one I just come for spin classes on thursday...thinking that it would be ok for me to continue knowing i'm registered for another set. I guess not...I was told to go down and fill out a trial form. So I thought to myself...."do I drop the tdisc bomb...do I drop the tdisc bomb?" I refrained and for the sake of my workout headed back to the TTF to ride my bike on the indoor trainer. A low Tdiscpye would have taken it poorly and ruined his workout...but not the new one....I had a great bike ride. The only thing I didn't like about it was that I was unable to bike with my teamates. Tdisckree and I after the bike met up with The admiral and Capt. Tdiscgreggy for the run. I felt great in the run and the team ran great. Late in the run when the admiral dropped out...There was team talk going on about the red island relay. Tdisckree and Tdiscgreggy were talking about goals for the race. Some think that picking teams this early will hurt the team...I can't disagree more...It has given us the boost we need in the dog days of winter. In our mind we set very realistic goals for both teams. Now it's up to us to prepare ourselves as best we can to reach them.

Tommorow should be a smooth day for Tdisc. We have sprints than a swim. I expect the sprints to be very fast....but under control.

It's tough to train for a triathlon during an Island winter. One thing you must do is ride your bike on an indoor trainer. If you are a triathlete or someone just looking to do some indoor spinning than I have come across the perfect class for you.

Tdisc Press Conference

Tdisc Training Facility - Feb. 18/09
(Table is set up at the front with 4 microphones. From left it's Tdiscpye, Tdiscadmiral, Tdiscgreggy, and Tdisckree. Everyone else is mingling around out in front of Tdisc.)

7:00:01 P.M.-
(The author of the blog...Tdiscpye) Friends, family, reporters, fellow triathletes, prime minister Stephen Harper. Thank you all for coming today...we appreciate the support we have gotten over the past 160 days of training. We've had many ups and downs through the process but none bigger than what happened on monday. When you live your life in the public eye, sometimes you feel a lot of pressure. (Captain Tdiscgreggy reaches over and puts his arm around The admiral.) This man took the weight of Tdisc on his shoulders for as long as he could before finally he snapped. Things were said and actions were shown by members of Tdisc which eventually led to the Tdisc shakeup. (Tdiscpye reaches over and puts his arm around the admiral) Apologies were given and apologies were accepted. We have overcome our differences to continue our push to Fredericton '09. In the process a proposal was put on the table for the Red Island Relay. I'll now hand it over to Tdisckree to explain the details of the proposal.

(Tdisckree) Good afternoon, In the wake of Monday's blowup I came up with a proposal for the Red Island Relay.TDISKREE and TDISCGREGGY VS. TDISCADMIRAL and TDISCPYE.

take it or leave it......

I think the teams need to be across family and household lines. Also, this will force tdiscadmiral and tdispye to get along better. the two biggest names in tdisc will be forced together. This leaves each team with a good runner and good biker.
TDISC has been getting stale lately and really looking for blogging material...this announcement will send the fans and media into a frenzy and clear the uncertainty that awaits us in 100 days in Brudenell.
Looking forward to hearing back from the Pye-Admiral camp.
I'll now hand it over to the Captain of the team for his spin on things.

(Captain Tdiscgreggy) I think this proposal is a positive thing, because of a number of reasons….
TDISCKREE born 1980 TDISCADMIRAL born 1980
TDISCGREGGY born 1983 = 54 TDISCPYE born 1983 =54
Strong Biker, Strong Runner. Strong Biker, Strong Runner
Neither team lives together, so no sneaking out together to get a workout in. Everything will stay honest.
This will also force each other to continue and be strong, because now if that one person backs off it will let down another. Friendly competition makes the end result faster, because now you are not running and biking for yourself, but also another team member
.

(Tdiscadmiral) BOY'S IT'S ON!!!!!!When two emotionally charged individuals come together everyone elsebetter get the hell out of the way. I will help my new partner battle his food addiction and he will helpme battle my rage problem. We will be on call for each other 24hours aday. I have now decided to invest in a cell phone. I will only betaking calls from my new partner tdiscPye. I wish all participants the best of luck in the Red Island Relay. Watchfor us on the podium.

(Tdiscpye) I agree with the admiral. I don't think there will be any doubt we'll be good. I extremely excited to work with John...he's one guy I know i'll never have to kick him in the rear...i'll just have to keep pulling him back. With him now getting a new cellphone we will be in touch and immediatly we'll start crunching numbers. I have a time in my head for the admiral...I just have to convince him that it is reachable. I'm excited for what's to come...it'll be one heck of a ride. So the field is set...Tdisc #1 will be the favored Tdisckree and Tdiscgreggy. Tdisc #2 will be the admiral and myself. I will now hand it over to Tdiscgreggy to close out this press conference.

(Captain Tdiscgreggy) This week in the life of T.Disc is a prime example of the trials and tribulations we go through to become triathletes T.Disc has grown from these experiences to become more than a team, but a family. In the face of real adversity the joking stops and the outcome is a stronger, closer unit, some even venture to say a band of brothers.
This week was also special because we selected our partners for the Red Island Relay. This was a positive because it separated us into partners in which were strong in one leg and weak in another. This was a move to take our training to the next level, by forcing us to work on our weaker activity.
This was a great week overall for T.Disc because we have had a day’s rest and released all tension in the air and moved forward. Great effort by everyone today, and can’t wait for tomorrow! Thanks for coming.

Today was a good day for Tdisc. We had a great weights session and swim. Everyone was very positive and supportive of one another. Bike and run tommorow....no spin.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction

Big Day!

Tdisc has scheduled a news conference for 7:00 pm at the TTF. It will have to do with what happened on monday and the red island relay. A complete rundown of the conference will be on the blog at 9:30 pm.

Dark Tuesday

I'm sorry to inform yas that today's race was canceled due to limited participants. As you have probably heard...Tdisc has had some troubles the last couple days. Tdisc however will not be folding...they have solved there difference's and are ready to move forward. In the wake of monday's blow up, Tdisc decided to go on there own today. More info to come.
I went for a short jog than a swim tonight. I slept in this morning and didn't really feel like working out tonight but forced myself through it and pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Today my food addiction flared back up which consisted of meals like, timbits, caramel eggs, score trifle, doritos, and just straight chocolate chips. Tonights workout may have gotten be back on the right path...I have breakfast set out for the morning.
Tdisc is back at it tommorow with weights and a swim.

Till next time,

Tdisc on the brink!

What should have been an ordinary monday was nothing but that. On a normal day Tdisc usually sends around anywhere from 3-5 emails. Today 14 emails were sent around trying to figure out what went wrong today. It was than that Tdisc decided to hold a news conference to determine the state of the team. Not much was decided by then....Tdisc went into the news conference still up in the air, however Tdisckree and Captain Tdiscgreggy addressed the media at the news conference.

Tdisckree
"In the wake of today, I am putting things on the line....pushing the envelope and really opening up myself to backlash but I truly feel this will make the team stronger and more focused going forward. This is my proposal...oh yeah I am not quiting or retiring. Once again this is my proposal... As of today Feb. 16 The TEAMS FOR the REd Island Relay will be as follows : TDISKREE and TDISCGREGGY VS. Looking forward to hearing back from the Pye-Admiral camp." Tdisckree.

Captain Tdiscgreggy

First off, this is off the record but as Captain of T.Disc I was greatly disappointed in even joking around about quitting T.Disc. This has been more than a team, more than friends, this is a way of life. T.Disc has been there for us in the low Mondays, and the high Thursdays, it personally has got me through a lot of hard times. Not sure where I would be without T.Disc, so if I hear one more bullshit comment about quitting or retiring, we are putting the admiral in charge of workouts.
My thoughts on today, is that the admiral without a question was not happy with the workout today, and you know what? We are all allowed to have those days, some of us just take it out in different ways. No matter what happened we all got through the workout and all had a great sweat. Today is over with, now we can focus on Krees suggestion.
I do not want to pick favorites, and I don’t think we are. I think this proposal is a positive thing, because of a number of reasons….

TDISCKREE born 1980 TDISCADMIRAL born 1980

TDISCGREGGY born 1983 = 54 TDISCPYE born 1983 =54

Strong Biker, Strong Runner. Strong Biker, Strong Runner

This will also force each other to continue and be strong, because now if that one person backs off it will let down another. Friendly competition makes the end result faster, because now you are not running and biking for yourself, but also another team member.
Just some thoughts, I hope everyone’s day is going well. Great workout this morning, it pays to lay off the party scean for a weekend for sure. Feel great, and can’t wait for tomorrow.

RACE DAY!!!!

TDISCGREGGY

I need a night to sleep on the events that transpired today. I'll be running as an individual without a team tommorow on race day. I'm not sure I like the direction the team is going in. We'll see what happens tommorow on race day. Tdisc is a lot like bob gainey....patient....may wait to long to pull the trigger.

Breaking News

Tdisc is holding a news conference at 5 o'clock pm where it is expected they will announce the folding of the team. This mornings workout took a turn for the worst which led to one member yelling at another. If I do tell more it could put 2 peoples lives in jeopardy tonight while they sleep.

To blog or not to blog?

Tonight I was just sitting in my chair watching the rankin family reunion(with the volume at 80) thinking about what it's going to be like on July 5th in Fredericton. What happens if it's raining? What happens if i'm not feeling good? Is it possible for me to be ready for it?
My weekend was what I would call quite boring. I had a lot of time to myself which isn't good cause that just means more time for bad thoughts to creep in. I also felt like I had a dose of TAS(The Admiral Syndrome). It is when you can't relax. I just felt like I always had to be doing something rather than just relaxing.
After a good workout on saturday...I followed it up with just a fair workout today. I napped in the afternoon and never regrouped. I tried biking for a bit and then ended up with a short stretch.
I was looking at the schedule today and the months are flying by. I began to get stressed at the amount of stuff going on and where am I going to find the time to get where I need to be for the triathlon season.
I was reading a triathlon book tonight...and it was focusing on swimming. I was eating handfulls of tums as I flipped through pictures of a body of water with swim caps everywhere. I really don't know what to expect. I know the high of finishing a tri will be unbelievable...but will it be overshadowed by the low that comes with a thumping?
102 days till the Red Island Relay! Back to work tommorow.

Just another day

Not much to report on the Tdisc front today. I had a great day swimming and running with the admiral. Tdisckree(work) and Tdiscgreggy(work) were both absent from today's workout.
Tdiscadmiral and I did 1500 meters of swimming than went for a 45 min. jog on the track. We faced a bit of adversity today in the pool and on the track. When you don't have a full squad people try to push Tdisc around. Walkers were going 3 wide by times trying to frig Tdisc up. overall we had a pretty good run. I felt great in both places today.
Tommorow would usually be an off day for Tdisc but with the way the week has gone.....some took friday off and some didn't. I know Tdisckree is opting for another off day...but I am going to swim and bike on the indoor trainer. No word yet from the remainder of the team.
Quiet days like we had today really show that Tdisc is becoming focused on the job at hand. We've settled into a bit of a groove. Our bodies are starting to really adjust to the training and we know where we are and where we want to be. There's not enough time to frig around anymore...the season is right around the corner.
Valentine's day usually puts me into a funk...but I think Tdisc will be enough to keep me out of it this year. Hopefully tommorow will be another good day leading into monday. Happy friggen Valentine's day.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Breakfast it is!

I wasn't feeling great last night after I finished working on blog. So I took a couple tylenol and laid down for a bit hoping it would go away. Still not feeling well I decided to go to be thinking for sure I was going to be sick. I tossed and turned a bit before I got to sleep...next thing I knew it was 6 am. I still didn't feel great but I knew that staying in bed just isn't in the tdisc vocabulary...unless you have a T(w) after it. I put on my workout clothes and went out to start the cars...much to my surprise it was like a full on storm. I went back inside grabbed a very light breakfast...checked the nashville boxscore then proceeded to the TTF.
When I arrived I noticed the lights weren't on in the gym. Uh oh....did this place delay till 10? We waited around for a bit then we got the bad news....upei delayed opening till 10. Not wanting to shut things totally down we went to the TTF to get changed and at least go for a swim. While sitting there a suggestion came out...."Off day and breaky boys?" offered Tdisckree. "NO! I can't be seen in public." Tdiscgreggy and I in the middle....something had to give....Tdisckree swims...or Tdiscadmiral screws up his day with a change of plans.
Eventually Tdisckree won the battle and we left the TTF for maid's. We had a great breakfast over a lot of triathlon talk. We crunched out a few numbers then went our seperate ways for the day.
Still feeling just common tonight, I'll be looking for lots of rest before a hard day tommorow. I think the plan is swim for an hour and run for an hour. Should be a great day.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Tdiscgreggy means a lot to the people around him. When I suggested this ...people were quick to send me a little write up about the Captain.

Tdisckree - " Tdiscgreggy is our leader. He's shown his strength in the run and has been working hard in the squat rack to improve the bike leg. Tdiscgreggy is shaping up to be a real threat on the triathlon circuit. He has a tough home life at times, but living under the Admiral's roof he's learned to pack his bag the night before and be at the TTF in good time. Tdiscgreggy's positive attitude and motivation will power TDISC to incredible heights. Alexander the Great once said " I do not fear an army of lions led by a sheep, but I do fear an army of sheep led by a lion." Well TDISC is an army of lions and TDISCGREGGY is a friggin lion too." See yas in Fredericton !

Tdisct(w) spin class coach of Tdiscgreggy'At an early age and before he surpassed 4 ft. tall, Greg often would lie and cheat to win at sports. He couldn't take a loss, despite his 40 lb frame so would always add a few points to his basketball or video game scores at the end. He sometimes would swing full force at me with closed fists when I would beat him. When we would go to the skates at UPEI rink, Greg would often spend time in the penalty box yelling at Dad to videotape him. Those days are in the past and Greg can now easily beat me in a road race and enjoys spending time on instead of off the ice. I am very happy to see Greg participating in Tdiscs quest to complete their first triathlon. With his enthusiasm and dedication to his training regime, I have no doubt that he will be one of 4 members to kill it Tri freddy.'

Tdiscadmiral -Tdiscgreggy is a great teamate, a great leader, roomate and a trueinspiration for all triathletes. The positive attitude and energy thathe brings to Tdisc is invaluble. He is the glue that holds Tdisc together during their tough times. "Lookout" Triathlon Circuit. This man could be a front runner some day,he is a true competitor, always pushing Tdisc to their limits. Especially on race day. Living with the Admiral is not an easy task, especially when he is on anagenda. Greggy is able to rise to the challenge. One last thing to say: "Greggy Set Your Alarm 5 Minutes Earlier

Tdiscgreggy Day

Days like today really show that Tdisc is taking steps forward. Everyone showed up for spin on time and ready to go. Tdisct(w) spared no expense on the big 4 putting us through arguably our toughest class of the year. Not much to report on...Tdisc road great and then hit the track for about a 15 minute jog. I felt great on the bike today....I think it was the most i've sweat in spin class. I also had a good run after feeling only a little stiffness in my back. I thought it was going to be a bit easier to get up today with the weather warming up but it wasn't. Again my preparation the night before kept me from being late.

For the first time on the blog I am going to profile a member of the big 4. This gives you the fans a chance to find out a little more about the team....to put a face with the stories. Today is extra special....we get to take a closer look at the man who holds the team together through motivational speeches...encouraging remarks. When word came that we should room someone with our big gun and protect him through the public scrutiny ....this man stepped forward. He delayed surgery to lead a team that was in desperate need of a leader...Ladies and Gentleman....

Tune in next week as we profile yet another member of the big 4. I'd like to get some feedback on what you think of the profiles so I can keep this blog going forward. Back to the pool tommorow with sprints before.

Busy pool outlasts Tdiscadmiral

Although I felt like I had a good nights sleep I still awoke feeling tired. For the first time in awhile I hit the snooze button. Being well prepared the night before allows me that few extra minutes in the morning. I arrived at the TTF a few minutes late after getting every red light on the way. In the changing room I could sense a little tension. So I asked Tdiscgreggy what happened? "I parked behind him....and he had to move my car." explained the Captain. Tdisckree set up a circuit for us to go through....tdiscgreggy had a few questions but he was quickly shut down when the admiral (not giving a frig) said "Let's get things going here." Our weights circuit went really good...I felt great...my legs were a little sore but felt strong.

Next came the swim. While we were walking towards the pool we looked in to see how busy it was...all I remember is the look on admirals face when he saw a lesson and full lanes. I've never had a dear in my headlights but i'm pretty sure it was the same look that was on the admirals face. At one point he gave the ol "I don't think i'm going to bother swimming today boys." We convinced him in the end. He still wasn't all that comfortable....as we were walking by the kiddie pool he said...."let's just turn it around boys." Noone listened and we proceeded toward the lanes.

My swim went pretty good today...I didn't expect to be very good after taking a few days off. I never got the quit feeling today...I just had to keep battling. The top 10 funniest quote of the season came 6 laps into the admirals swim when he looked at Tdisckree (surrounded by fins, flutter boards, pull buoys, flippers) and said "There's nothing to do so i'm just going to swim laps."

A rattled Tdiscadmiral left a bit early and the rest of us sat in the kiddie pool for a relaxing few minutes after the swim...talking about how the weeks are flying by and next thing we'll know we'll be in Fredericton. Spin class tommorow...the week just gets harder from here.

Thanks to all that voted....There will be a new poll up tommorow.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Tdisckree gets monkey off his back!

Race Day Tuesday lived up to all expectations. I could sense it last night that something was brewing when Tdisckree stood up from the couch and got himself some toast with peanut butter and said..."You better be ready tommorow." Quickly realizing I was going to need my energy I joined Tdisckree for toast and peanut butter. We layed around for a bit then Tdisckree left for his room saying..."You had better get some rest." So I hit the sack. It was really tough to get up this morning but when the alarm went off I immediatly got up....race day was here. I arrived at the TTF in great time...getting the news at about north river (which means i'm early). I had my workout clothes and everything on ready to go...hoping to get a bit of a stretch in before the race. 3 of the big 4 arrived at the track at the same time 6:45. When asked where Tdiscgreggy was the admiral replied "he was up....I think he forgot something...we can't wait let's go." So half scared I joined the admiral by the first turn. Roaring back from the corner was Tdisckree "You can't start yet...we have to wait for greggy....your scared of greggy aren't u admiral." AFTER 1 lap Tdisckree joined myself and the admiral. I decided to set the pace as long as I could before hanging on for dear life. On lap 5 Captain Tdiscgreggy hooked on to the back. I felt pretty good throughout...although my legs weren't the best. I held the lead for about 30 laps before the other 3 raced on by....with Tdisckree taking the lead. 8 laps later they came past me for the first time....noticibly absent from the pack....Tdiscgreggy. By lap 40 tdiscgreggy hooked on with me and it became a 2 horse race with Tdisckree leading the admiral. aww struckin by the moment the fans sat down and braced themselves as the leaders approached the bell lap. Unfortunatly the big finish never came and Tdisckree glided to his first win....tdiscadmiral cruised in on his shoulder for second. Results: 1st- Tdisckree 2nd- tdiscadmiral 3rd- Tdiscpye 4th- Tdiscgreggy.
Or are those the results? This is where it get's a little dicey. Ok....first of all if you noticed earlier....Tdisckree joined us after lap 1....Did he run the full race? NO. second If you noticed the admiral took off before all members were ready....was that a false start? YES. What does this mean?....Lots. In my mind the official results should look this way 1st- Tdiscpye Dsq-Tdisckree Dsq-Tdiscadmiral Dsq- Tdiscgreggy. Did a 99-1 longshot pull out the biggest victory in tdisc history? You make the decision.

As usual tdisc members addressed the media following race day tuesday.

8:35 @ the public faciliy (TdiscKree)
Concerning a race on Feb. 22
" Despite running well today, I am not physically or mentally ready to complete on the running circuit. I want to keep my focus on the Red Island Relay and Fredericton. I feel an outdoor run might be a recipe for injury, which would be catastrophic at this point in my preparation." The other members of tdisc have not confirmed or denied their place in the Feb 22nd event. Tdisct(w) has hinted strongly that she will attend. Some say that after a lackluster winter of training tdisct(w) is attempting to race herself into shape in hopes of being ready for freddy. Tdiscgreggy would be the next best bet of entering simply because he is the most natural runner of the big four. Tdiscadmiral hates change. He has not mentioned the race, and folks there is a better chance of Obama joining the Republican party then Admiral breaking plans last minute. Tdiscpye is also strongly doubtful and will announce his plans through the blog."

8:45 @ The parking lot (Tdiscgreggy)
"I want to apologize for my efforts today in the run, I am still not 100% after my breakdown on the weekend. I had a great workout with a mini solo tri on Saturday, followed by playing a hockey game. This felt like it might have been too much after my blackout in the Tignish rink Sunday. I had to accept responsibility for my hockey teams lose because I was unable to be present on the bench until the third, in which it was too late. I have had some time to think, and after reading the blog and having the team behind me for keeping the pace up in the run I will have to make some changes. I have now shut down my social life until I have more time, and I am taking a day off work to refuel my body and getting ready to take this training to the next level.
I also want to congratulate T.Disckree on a big win today in the run, and also for not stopping once to relief “some stress”!

4:05 @ the corner of belvedere and university while running with Gary Devine (Tdiscadmiral)

"just want to congratulate Kree on his win today. Thats all I have to say."

The rumour going around is the admiral is looking to keep out of the spotlight and by finishing 2nd is a way of accomplishing that. For the captain...we know he'll bounce back....suffering from concussion like symptoms will be ready to go tommorow. About stopping the social life...a wise man was once quoted as saying..."you can eat what you want...just in moderation."-TDA
I think that goes for socializing as well...you can socialize...just socialize in moderation.

Overall my day went pretty good today. After work I decided to hit the bike on the indoor trainor for an hour and then stretch. I felt great on the bike. For the first time I wasn't really that sore from being down in the areo bars. Swim and weights tommorow. Also Tdisc's 2 week schedule will be posted at the bottem.

This is just another example of the trials that come with becoming a triathlete. Did I mention today was going to be a bloggers dream?

mediocre monday

With today being Islander day on PEI, we were unable to schedule in a swim time that worked for the team at the TTF. So we decided to have another day of training on our own. I have a tough time getting motivated on these days. I really miss the team atmosphere that we have when we workout together at the TTF. I left my workout till tonight and I actually had a pretty good run and a good stretch after. It wasn't bad...but I just feel like I drifted backwards after today. I'm not sure how the rest of the big 4 faired out on this day....they declined to speak to the media until tommorow. For 2 of the big 4 it was family day...for Tdisckree and I it was just another day at work.

We all know what tommorow is.....It's the weekly RDT. Odds makers are having a field day with this one. Many were shocked today when they released the early numbers.

Submitted by proline:

RDT- at the Tdisc Training Facility

TDG 2-1 (They have no doubt on this one....The captain has got the taste of winning and he likes it. Tommorow may be a record breaking day if Tdiscgreggy can hold off the field and become the winningest runner in Tdisc history.)
TDK 5-1 (Tdisckree has shown lately that if he can control his bowls than he can compete with the big dogs. A well timed bathroom break may be enough for tdisckree to put a scare into Tdiscgreggy.)
TDA 7-1 (Tdiscadmiral has had trouble regaining his early season form. Odds makers (stuck with him as long as they could. He has all the tools needed to win.....this may be a great longshot to throw some cash down on.)
TDP 99-1 ( Tdiscpye has never really scared the top runners at any point in the season. Although he is improving....he stands no chance to pace with the leaders. Look for Tdiscpye to play a strong part in the over/under.)

There is no doubt about it that tommorow will be a bloggers dream. I'm buckling up and holding on...It is going to be a wild ride.

Tough weekend to be the author of the blog

It's been one of those weekends that been kinda messed up. We were away with hockey that made it hard to train and blog. We considered saturday as a day off...so today we decided to have a workout. My eating was terrible over the weekend and I really felt it throughout today....after church I had all you can eat chinese food....which didn't exactly feel great throughout my bike ride this evening. I was kinda low leading into the workout...i felt really tired from my 3 hour nap prior and my food addiction was really getting the best of me. I forced myself to go in to the TTF and workout. Tdisckree and I road our bikes on the indoor trainer for like 30 mins then did a legs circuit. I felt great after and it kinda gave me a boost going in a hard week ahead.
When teams win championships....they can usually pinpoint a week in the middle of the season where they really began to take off. For Tdisc this could be the week. We had a solid week last week but nothing really special. We've been in a bit of a groove lately....look for tdiscgreggy to push the big 4's envelope a little farther....in preparation for Fredericton.
For most ...tommorow it will be a holliday....for Tdisc there is no such thing as a holliday....were in the year of the triathlon...there is work to be done. Tommorow is split day....run and swim for the admiral and I....bike and swim for Tdiscgreggy and tdisckree.

till next time,

Surprisingly quiet on Friday!

The week has pretty well cruised by for most of Tdisc. We've been quite consistent all week with no major meltdown's. Are we becoming triathletes? I think so...it's just like getting up and going to work everyday...it's like second nature now to pack the night before...set the alarm for 6....get up and head to the TTF for a consistent workout. Today I felt great again...we did some sprints for about 20-30 minutes than went for a half an hour swim. Tdisc was caught off guard a bit after the workout when we got chirped about our swimwear. They were basically telling us that our clam diggers had a lot of drag. We appreciate there suggestions and will probably order some tights in the near future. In a side note The admiral scoffed at the idea.
Speaking of the admiral he sent the author of the blog a statement today. After getting roasted for a week straight he had this to say. "I have been listening a lot to Ocean 100 lately and it has inspired me to take on a new approach to life. I want to feel fine in 09. For that reason, I have tried to live more in Johns shoes rather then let the admiral attack. It was stressful, it was intense and it was destructive to those around me. Instead of showing people my rage and intensity, I have decided to step back and simply go with the flow. You will not be seeing the admiral for a little bit because all admirals need their rest. I will work hard and I will be relentless in every workout but I will not lose it. Tdiscgreggy has been a great leader and support system here at home. His laid back attitude has helped me with my rage..thanks Greggy. "
In the words of Admiral David Farragutâ??Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!â??
"John"

Today John did show up...It was a tremendous surprise. After the sprints while in the swimming changing rooms the admiral paid us a surprise visit. Tdisckree said to John "I read the article in the paper about kids missing to much school and I agree with it....we need to make some days up." That is when the admiral arrived..."I like my time off....we shouldn't have to make up time it's like we went to school." He then proceeded to smash the lockers with his kit bag.

I'm actually struggling to blog tonight....I'm in a hotel in moncton with the admiral on the bed behind me....the lights are all on....I have no green tea...and the room is to cold to have my shirt off.

Tdisc has a travel day tommorow and then back at it on Sunday. The next blog will be posted on Sunday night at 8:00. Enjoy the weekend.

Till next time,

Team Comes to aid of fallen Leader

I really don't know what to say today. It was one of those days where I had a good workout but I just seemed to have like an empty feeling inside all day. I can't really put my finger on it at the moment.
Thursday spin is one of my better days...I always get a good sweat on and feel good about my improvement in the training. The day started off a little weird...as I arrived at the TTF there were people running back and forth from building to building. Then I ran into Captain Tdisgreggy and the admiral and they notified me about what was going on. The fire alarms were going off and everyone had to evacuate the building. In a report by UPEI later on in the day they confirmed that the fire alarm had been pulled by someone. Was it a sabotage on Tdisc? By pulling the fire alarm was the person trying to delay our workout knowing our leader can't cope with change? Were not exactly sure why but Tdisc training went on.
We all hopped on the bikes with a full back row and front row. Tdisct (w) put us through a great hill workout. Halfway through the workout is when tdisc showed everyone in the gym that we were strong. Our team leader was pedaling away when tdisct (w) told the group to go up 3 gears. The admiral replied "I can't...I won't be able to move my legs." That is when the team in a supporting role started encouraging him...."Come on admiral...Come on admiral...up another one admiral". With the captain on his right shoulder Tdiscadmiral made it through. We finished strong then proceeded to the track for a run. The admiral declined....some say due to work circumstances others say he's still hurt.
When we got to the track...people were very receptive to us like usual. They gave us one lane and they all split the other one. We then T'd up a whole sports team....then ripped off a couple k and had a great stretch. Although I did notice the man who always says "good morning gents" was missing. I'm still holding out hope for the day he says "good morning Tdisc". Team shirts would solve that problem.
When I think of great teams a few teams come to mind right away....such as the bulls dynasty and Us Poastal Service/team discovery. Those two teams were unbeatable in there sports. There is three reasons why they were so succesful. one...they had a great coach...two....they had a great supporting cast....three...they had a great leader. ie. michael Jordan, and Lance Armstrong. You might ask why am I talking about this....well Tdisc is a team that sets goals not limits. If one day we want to become an international powerhouse than we need to copy these other great teams. We have a great coach...and our supporting cast may eventually become the best there is.....Team leader ? Were just not sure. We pegged the admiral as the leader right at the start but like one member said today "he may not be able to settle himself down and mentally just not be able to cope with being the frontrunner." His performance so far can be summed up by a sign posted at the TTF earlier this week. It read...."Tdiscadmiral we brought u here to win....please do something."
I know what yas are thinking...."man you guys are hard on the admiral." You know what...yas are probably right. As we've seen in the last few days he is 100% human. Maybe we expect to much out of him. But yas got to see where were coming from...i'm going to give yas an illustration. In this illustration pretend Tdiscadmiral is sidney crosby and the nhl is triathlon training. Ok....sid is 2nd in scoring with 70 points.....there's two ways to look at it. one...thinking what's wrong with sid...he should be doing better than that....two....jeez 70 points ....that's good he's right up there with a lot of good players. A safe way to look at it would be the 2nd one. I like first one personally....like sid....Tdiscadmiral is a phenom in his sport. Anything but the best is dissappointing. It just eats me up inside to see a physical Specimen like the admiral being just average. Why we push the admiral so much is because with Tdisc all hope lies in the Admiral. We can only hope for things to change...he's does live with team mediator Tdisct(w) and the team Captain Tdiscgreggy. By giving the Captain to Tdiscgreggy it straightened him out...should we try giving the assistant captain to Tdiscadmiral? Or should we like the tour de france....let someone lead for most of the race then hand it over to the big leader late?

Some people have asked...."So like how does Tdiscpye go about blogging." Ok....first of all I get home and prepare a green tea....and crank up the heat. I then usually change into more comfortable clothing...usually no shirt. I go over to the computer shutting off all the lights on the way. I open up the blog...and my email where I recieve all the interviews and comments from the day. I then take 5 minutes to sit back and think about what all happened. I then sit forward take a sip of green tea...and proceed to blog. While blogging I speak out loud reading and going back and going through it. Why do I sit in the dark u might ask? It allows me to get in character. One quote I love when it comes to blogging is.....“Breathe. Know that the Internet has no eraser.”

Be sure to vote on the new poll....it will soon be time to buy uniforms. Swim and sprints tommorow....should be good for a team that is now in cruise control.

Till next time,
Tdiscpye
