Rookie thrives at Stonepark

I received a phone call late last night from the big gun..."Let's do something different" he barked. Well...when we arrived this morning it was made clear that we were going to do something different...we just didn't know what. The suggestion came up "let's run to stonepark and run the hills." I did everything I could to convince the team to do something else. That didn't work and we left the ttf en route for Stonepark.

My legs felt really tired on the way down so I was really dreading the hills. We paired up and did 8 hill sprints on a 1 minute pace. It usually took about 15 seconds to get up and then you had 45 seconds to get back down and rest before the next. I kinda forgot how steep the hills were...they were dreadful, but i'm not sure they were any worse than admiral hill. We went in groups of 2...the rookie was riding shotgun with the admiral and I was paired with the captain. Again the rookie laid a thrashing on the admiral. If this doesn't kill the admiral...he'll win something next year because of it. The run back to the TTF was painful. It was a steady incline for half of it...and my legs were pretty much shot.

The big news of the day came when it was announced that the admiral will be hosting 2009-10 Tdisc meet and greet. It will be a BBQ on Saturday. The time has yet to be announced. The first 15 people through the door get there picture taken with the rookie. The first 5 get to race him up the driveway. Should be a great time had by all.

Tomorrow we go for a short run followed by weights. There are a few new polls posted in the right column. Please be sure to vote. Please keep my food addiction in your thoughts....I just had pizza, kd, and ice cream....frig!

Till next time,
Tdiscpye
