As I tossed and turned all last night...one common theme was coming to mind. Is this really worth it? After today...it's more than worth it...the feeling I have right now is unimaginable. Tdisc is ecstatic with the way the day went...we felt like this is how it could play out...we had a plan in mind and stuck to it...we knew the results would be there if we could stay consistent.
To the boys who trained with me day in and day out....great job today! I couldn't be more proud of the way we handled the pressure as a team. When you have a blog...and people read about your expectations...then there is pressure to produce. We did that today. I knew going in that the admiral was unbelievable physically...but I thought he might have been a bit weaker mentally. Today he was calm and cool throughout the whole race. That was a major factor in our consistency. Although we raced divided at the end Tdisc stood united...our goal still remains the same...to promote this great lifestyle and be the best triathletes we can be.
People can look at the results and say...jeepers you 2 did great! Really though...we weren't a team of 2...we couldn't have done this without the support recieved down there. Our families, the frizzell's, fans of Tdisc, paul(Kayaking by the sea), fellow racers, sponsors, and everyone involved with putting on such a great event., and the boys in the truck at atlantic chip timing(seeyas in fredericton)... Thank you from Tdisc!
Also a special shoutout to 2 teams...first...Tdisc Superfans. Great job today...I just saw the results...very impressive. 100 days and we can scratch superfans from the name. Shake N Bake...good job today...I take it you retired the titanic? See yas in the pool on tuesday.
Tomorrow will be an off day for tdisc...but after that it's right back to the grind...the countdown is on...30 days till fredericton! "keep on Keepin on"
From the Tdisc headquarters at 195 Blue Heron...I'm Tdiscpye.

Time to Race!
We just finished up our Tdisc mixer/pep rally. It was at screaming success...were really full from supper and super pumped up. We had a few touching speeches in a closed door meeting...The topic was "bountiful harvest". We also read a speech from one of the finest men to ever dawn the canoe at the Red Cross Relay. It read...
To the members of team TDisc:
As you prepare for the morning and your nerves are wearing thin,
Trust that your chains are oiled and your tires will surely spin.
As the day wears on and your spandex grows tighter,
On the ground, your feet are sure to become lighter.
When you begin to tire and your legs are growing weak,
Don't forget your competitors are about to peak.
Your teammates are no longer, and today become enemies,
Keep your fingers crossed that their muscles will seize.
All the training and dieting will no doubt end in glory,
To be retold numerous times in a drunken story.
So sleep well tonight and get your much needed rest,
When the time comes settle for nothing but the best.
And Remember, the Red Island Relay is all about RISK,
And nobody holds a candle to TEAM TDISC!!!
Good Luck Boys!!!
Q-bag
Tomorrow is a big day for Tdisc. Expectations are extremely high and none are higher than our own expectations. We've had a good taper week...let's hope it pays off. We've made a pact to leave it all on the course and let the results look after themselves. The season is here. Time to enjoy the moment. Good night from Tdisc headquarters at 195 Blue Heron Lane.
Till next time,
Tdiscpye

kayak
Tdisc has some concerns over there ability in the kayak...so at 4:30 they will be venturing out for a few last minute instructions. Supper to follow.
Feelings
With less than 24 hours to go....my feelings aren't great. I'm sick, stressed, nervous, terrified, anxious, excited, and mentally drained. awwwwwww
Scattered blog
I have sooooo much to do today....it's going to be tough to find time to sit down and blog...so I have decided that when I get news i'll send it through the blog in pieces. Late last night an email was sent to the blog administrator from the admiral via his agent.
The admiral asked me to send this message along because he wants to rest every appendage he has, including his fingers for the weekend.
"I'm not nervous, I'm not scared and I'm not anxious. I'm hungry.
All I have to say to the competition is 'feed me.'"

Precious Sleep
Tonight I haven't had the opportunity to blog and it is probably in my best interest to get to bed. More reports to come tomorrow but tonight here is Tdisckree's prerace report.
Pre-race report
By. TDISCKREE
DATE May 28
EVENT - RED ISLAND RELAY
General Comments :
I can't believe we are two days away. I am extremely excited. We've trained hard all winter. I know we are ready, and I know we have prepared the best we could. However, this past week of tapering is driving me insane. I just hope we didn't back off the training too much and that we feel fresh and not sluggish from our down-time. I think we will feel great. I am actually getting nervous right now just thinking about the start. Despite being in about 7 or 8 relays, I've never started the race. I am looking forward to having a hometown crowd. Believe it or not, and as retarded as it seems I just don't want to let the fans and blog readers down. I really don't want to let TDISC down, and especially Captain Tdiscgreggy.
Predictions :
As far as places go, I don't really have a clue because I don't know what the field will be like. However, if all goes according to plan we will be in the thick of things and should be in good position throughout the whole race. I will look to establish a good pace and position by the 3k mark. I hope to improve my position on the bike. I will come in on empty. By the time I hand off to Greggy, I expect Tdiscpye to be on my heels. Greggy will leave hard and I expect Greggy to lead the Admiral into the bike. I expect Tdisc1 and Tdisc2 to be within 2 minutes of each other one way or the other heading into the canoe. And if this is the case...the fans at Brudenell will be treated to perhaps one of the epic sporting battles of all time.
What the fans don't know :
- Tdiscadmiral will keep a burnt english muffin in his tights in-case he gets hungry during the kayak leg. He might actually wear YING FA swimming trunks despite the fact that they have a history of wearing out without warning.
- TDK has changed the tires on his bike twice this week.(which is more than he has changed his underwear.)
- Tdiscgreggy got a tatoo of the captains "c" on his right butt cheek this week.
- Tdiscpye has had two different nightmares the past two nights. The first nightmare was that the fans of tdisc held a protest on the deck of 195 Blue Heron Lane because of a missed blog entry. The second nightmare was a scary scenario of the Admiral beating him senseless with a kayak paddle after he steered it onto a sand-bar in the Red Island Relay.
- Rookflick threw his grass-cutting shoes out the window off TTF mid workout on Wednesday in frustration. He was heard muttering " just wanted to check my freakin emails."
- Josh Vessey on tryout has been coached by Tdisckree on two previous occassions in the past. Triathlon , hockey , and softball are now the three sports in which he has played for TDK. It should be noted that Vessey has never started and has never played a significant role on any of these teams.

Today was a very quiet day on the email front for Tdisc. It was just one of those days that you knew....everyone was focused on what they had to do to be ready on Saturday. Not wanting to change things up to much we decided to continue with the early schedule and arrive at the TTF at 6:30. We however declined to lift weights and did an extra bit of footwork and a longer stretch...finished off by a quick abs circuit run by the rook. We then proceeded to the pool with the only plan being....be in the hot tub by 7:30. I was still on a bit of a high from last night...Tdisckree tried to bring me down but he couldn't. For the first time in my training I completed the olympic distance swim. I did it in a much faster time than I expected...a time of 28 minutes. I think what really put me on the high was the fact that my last 100 was my best 100 of the swim.
Mr. Joshua Vessey showed up for day 2 of his tryout agreement...much to the surprise of Tdisc members and fans. I think a tough day in the pool would be an understatement....but in all fairness to mr. Vessey....he didn't have a pair of yingfa's to guide him through the swim.
Tdisckree gave a speech earlier in the week. Tonight it's my turn...i'm going to speak directly to the team via the blog.
Give 100 Percent
100% equals everything! When we are asking you to give 100 percent, we are asking you to give everything. We want it all! Do not save anything for later, do not relax, do not take a break to catch your breath, give us everything you've got from start until finish! Leave it all in Brudenell.
It won't be easy. Giving 100 percent isn’t for the faint-of-heart. It takes a lot of heart, passion, determination, drive, energy, and willpower.
It’s going to hurt! There is going to be pain, sweat, and adversity. You are going to doubt yourself before you get there. You will wonder if you can do it, and you will try to talk yourself out of giving it your all. You are going to see "easy ways out." All along the way you will be presented with ways to give less of yourself.
You will find yourself reaching for that "easy button." Press it and you instantly travel the easy road. That's fine if the "easy button" gets you the results you desire. However, at the Red Island Relay, the "easy button" isn't going to get you where you want to be. Giving 100 percent, working hard, being smart, and seizing the moment- that's what will get you the results we desire.
The best triathletes the most successful triathletes are those who mentally block out pain, fatigue, doubt, and despair. Super triathletes focus on pushing beyond their limits, drawing energy from untapped reserves, hope, success, and reaching the finish line!
Don't ever forget...your representing Tdisc, be the best you can be and give us 100 percent on Saturday! em>
Tomorrow will be a full off day. The countdown is on!
Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Tdisc makes move to get younger!
Awwwww....I'm struggling to get this blog going tonight. I really don't know what to say today....I have a real uneasy feeling in my stomach this week. There's a few reasons for this...one might be the fact that I have the biggest race of my life to date in a little over 3 days...or it could have something to do with having to write a blog for a following of 150+. 7000 hits! This is getting out of control.
Today we met at the TTF at 6:30 am sharp. It was the 5 of us and 1 special guest...and i'll get to him a little later. We took off on route to the fishbowl for a 6 k run with sprints mixed in. One Tdisc member was quoted as saying "imagine if someone seen us doing this." The run had a pretty good tempo at the start and we continued that pace as we marched past Colin and Zack in the Fishbowl. It was great to see the boys again...considering it has been 2 weeks since our tuesday run. As we turned for home we had a bit of a headwind and an uphill climb. Everyone seemed to feel pretty good...even the Rook who traded comfort for speed by going with his grass cutting shoes. We won't go there tonight...but he was darn close to a meltdown. Don't ask if he got his emails last night! After the short run we spent an extended period of time stretching and doing work on the foam roller.
ok....so if your kinda new to the blog....here's whose who on Tdisc.
Tdisckree is a member of the big 4 as well as the coach.
Tdiscgreggy is a member of the big 4 as well as Team Captain.
Tdiscadmiral is a member of the big 4 as well as the big gun and chief of finance.
Tdiscpye is a member of the big 4 as well as the author of the blog.
Tdisct(w)is married to the admiral and is an honorary member of Tdisc because of her role as founder of Tdisc.
Rookflick is working towards becoming a member of Tdisc. He's about 65 days in.
Well...Tonight i'm proud to announce that Tdisc has made a move towards further expansion. At 6:36am(ya he showed up late...the admiral wasn't impressed) Mr. Joshua Vessey of the Charlottetown pe facebook network, born february 21,1987 showed up and the clock started on his tryout agreement. Just incase you aren't familiar with the tryout agreement...here it is. When you show up the first day the 100 day countdown will be posted in the right hand column of the blog. It is 100 days consecutively...however you are given 1 rest day a week. If you choose to use that day off on a monday than u have to be present tuesday-sunday or your official tryout agreement may be revoked. You also can request a leave of absence from the team. For example rookflick took a 4 day leave of absence a little while back to go home and visit his family. He was expected to be back after the 4 days or his official tryout agreement would have been revoked. Once you've completed the 100 days than it will go before the big 4 for a vote...at that time u will either be signed or released.
I speak on behalf of Tdisc when I say were thrilled with the opportunity to change another lifestyle. We feel as though Mr. Vessey(shown above) will bring some youthful exuberance to the team. In a written letter to the team Mr. Vessey had this to say.
"Dear TDISC,
I would first of all like to thank you all for the opportunity at hand to not only better myself as an athlete, but also to better myself as a human being as I will be in the company of some of the greatest men and women ever to grace the roads, gyms, and pools of Prince Edward Island. Now, I’m going to be honest there will definitely be some days along this road where the drive and motivation may not be quite there. But I know I can count on TDISC in those days where the spirits are down to pick me up and get me going again. Because that is what makes us a team. I mean we got TDiscAdmiral there to keep me punctual and on our toes, TdiscKree – the Coach to give me words of inspiration when I need it most (he always knows when..), TdiscGreggy – the Captain to keep me on a strict diet for success, and last but not least TdiscPye – the Blogger Extraodinaire to keep me updated on the entire whirlwind that is TDISC, keeping my spirits high.
I am honored to have been given this opportunity of joining such a prestigious group of people and I know that I will come to be part of the TDISC dream of being “the greatest triathlon team of all time”. Thanks again to everyone at TDISC, I won’t let you down.
“It was a battle, and not the way I wanted to start my tryout with TDISC, sprinting the first 2.5 km to catch up to the group.. but when I got there, it just felt natural”. – Josh Vessey, TDISC Tryout day 1"
Just a reminder of the Tdisc mixer/pep rally that will be held on friday evening. All are welcome...for more details contact us here at the blog.
Till next time,

Let the speeches begin!
Today's swim wasn't very difficult...we all did a lot of hanging off the sides talking about the week. Everyone left the pool a little bit earlier than usual...and Tdiscgreggy and I hit the hot tub for about 20 minutes...Tdisckree even stopped by to talk strategy. I just kinda wish I could have gotten in the pool and did a full swim....because all this talk about the RIR is ruining my nerves.
Over the next couple of days there will be a lot of speeches from Tdisc members, and from people involved in some sort of way. Today our Coach Tdisckree addressed the team prior to our morning swim...
Dear Tdisc members,
As Head Coach of TDISC and a member of Tdisc1 I just wanted to send a shout out to the members of TDISC. This will be a monumental week for Tdisc. We have to enjoy it, we have to embrace the pressure, and focus on the goal. The schedule for this week will be cut in half. We will have a run tommorrow which will include a few pick ups but will be no longer than 6k. Wednesday we will ride bike ( About 30 minutes with a few pickups.) Thursday will be a Tdisc mandatory day of rest. Friday will include an early morning bike and stretch. This will not be mandatory, however I urge all to attend. Based on past experience, I have trouble falling asleep the night before. I want to ensure that we keep consistant sleep patterns leading to the event. Friday evening we'll have a team meal followed by preperations and allow the opportunity for people to drop by Blue Heron to wish the team good luck. Saturday....will follow the theme " UNLEASH THE BEAST". This my friends will be the first real opportunity for the world to experience the animal known as "TDISC".
I don't know what to say really. I mean, 5 days till the biggest battle of our professional lives; all comes down to today. Well, we either get fired up now as a team or we're gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play by play, till we're finished. We're in our tapering week right now gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay here and get the crap kicked out of us; or we can fight our way back; into the light. We're gonna get ready one day at a time... One inch at a time.
Now I can't do it for you. I'm just the coach and just one member of the big 4. I look around and i see these young faces and I think. I made every wrong choice a 29 year old man can make. I peed away all my money, believe it or not. I chased off anyone who has ever loved me except for Anne Marie and Eddie Carey. And lately, I can't even stand the face I see in the mirror. You know, when you get old in life; things get taken away from you. That's part of life. But you only learn that when you start losing stuff. You find out life's this game of inches. So is triathlon. Because in either game life or triathlon the margin for error is so small. I mean one half step too early or too late and you don't quite make it. One half inch too high or too low and you take in water. The inches we need are everywhere around us (On the bike, on the trail, in the water). They're in every break of the race; every minute; every second.
On this team, we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's whats gonna make the friggin difference between winning and losing. Between living and dying. I'll tell you this in any fight, it's the guy who's willing to die who's gonna win that inch. And I know if I'm gona have any triathlon career at all , It's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch. Because that's what traithlon is. The six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You have to look at the guy next to you ( Admiral look at Pye, Pye Look at Admiral)( Greggy look at me). Look into his eyes. Now i think your gonna see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows when it comes down to it; your gonna do the same for him.
That's a team gentlemen. And, either we heal, now as a team, or we will die as individuals. That's TDISC guys. That's all it is.

Off Day Sunday
Not much happened today...it was a very low key morning at church and then a nice Bbq with some Tdisc fans followed by one of the top 10 afternoon sleeps of my life.
Tonight I went to a wake in which I found out who a couple more of the blog followers are. Kirk and Roberta it's great to have yas following our journey here at bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com. Hey...Tdisc is always thinking expansion!
Ok so this week is a tapering week for Tdisc. Since it is only a class B race we will be only tapering for about 1 week. Our diet will be extremely important over the next 6 days. We really don't want to change our schedule to much...just ease back to about 50% of the workload. Tomorrow we will swim in the morning. This may be a really tough week for us...we've had a routine that hasn't been broken for a a long time. If your wondering how we classify this race than here it is....our big races is the triathlon triathlon in fredericton and the triathlon on PEI(class A). Class B is the red island and other triathlons. Class C are running races, and biking races.
You may have already heard about this but if you haven't here it is. Tdisc will be holding it's first ever pep rally/mixer. It will be held at the admiral's on friday...the day before the RIR. For more details be sure to check out the event on facebook. Should be a must see event!
Till next time,

Final Preparation
Today's blog is dedicated to the Brudenell clubhouse...thanks for the use of your public facilities. Very hospitipal!
Today we decided to go down east for our final run through of the course before the RIR. We went in 2 waves...the first group went at 7 (Admiral, Rookflick, and Tdisct(w)) followed by Tdiscgreggy, Tdisckree, and I at 8. Other than the 2 wrong turns by the admiral all went well for group 1 this morning. The report that I recieved said that it was warm on the run and a little windy on the bike...but that everyone felt good.
As for us in group 2 Tdiscgreggy and Tdisckree were ready to go this morning. I wish I could say the same for myself but I can't...I was just...in the word's of Tdisckree "Friggen around." I just couldn't seem to get going...I wasn't tired, but for some reason I got caught up on crackbook and even doing a bit of laundry. Once we got going we were alright though. The run went pretty well...I found myself to be very sluggish at the start...but began to find my legs late in the run. When I hit the transition I was a little worried...I didn't have the legs at the start and I was battling a head wind. However I recovered quickly...and felt great for the remainder of the ride. Tdisckree seemed to do quite well but I didn't buy it because he verbally assaulted me when we made a wrong turn and had to go a bit farther. Tdiscgreggy had a great day...he said via text message "Holy **** I love the runners/bikers high...better than anything I ever experienced."
We went our own seperate ways this afternoon than met up at 4 o'clock for a kayak course in Rustico. It was pretty cool but I must admit I underestimated how tough it was going to be. We recieved some great instruction and I think were better kayaker's than we were before. Everything went well except for the few seconds that we were hooked on the sandbar and the admiral had to walk us off...nearly taking himself and the kayak into the channel. On behalf of Tdisc and myself we'd like to thank Outside Expeditions for taking the time to help us out.
Often times you can't get things going quick enough in the morning and you have to make a pitstop along the way to the route. Well here's the top 6 public facility pitstops voted on by Tdisc.
6.Brudenell clubhouse
5.Tim Horton's(university avenue)
4.Petro Canada (university avenue)

TGIF!
After our swims on tuesday's and thursday's Tdisckree and I take turns driving home...because we are both coming back in the next morning. Well...last night it was my turn to drive, but there was one major issue...I had in the back of my mind that I would take the morning off...problem...It didn't click in that I had to drive Tdisckree in for 6:30am until I was home. Frig! I had 2 options...work out or sit on Tdisckree's computer and mess around on Crackbook. Tdiscadmiral called shortly after I got home and mentioned that he wanted to go for a swim so I made the triathlete's decision and decided swim with him. As it turned out I am glad to have gotten up and swam. I felt really good throughout my swim considering that it was my second time swimming in 11 hours. Over those 2 swims I did a total of over 4000 meters. Tdiscadmiral, Scott, and I pretty well had the pool to ourselves. It was definitely a change from Tuesday and Thursday nights when you have the Toonie swimmers doing cannon balls on both sides of the lane.
Tdisc has decided to scratch from tomorrow's 5k race. As it looks right now we will be going down east in preparation for next weekends RIR. Tdisckree and I will do our 2 legs and Tdiscgreggy will pair up with the admiral in preparation for there 2 legs. A kayak lesson will follow in the evening.
I'd like to give a special shout out to the boys in swim class. On behalf of Tdisc...welcome to Bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com.
Till next time,

9 Days!
Wow...time flies...9 days till the RIR. I'm getting nervous just thinking about it...I hope it's an excited nervous but it could also be the thought of being alone in a 2 man kayak with the admiral. That's right! Tdisc2 will be racing next week in a 2man kayak. Yesterday Tdisc head office was sent confirmation that both teams have officially been guaranteed kayaks. Tdisc is ecstatic with the news!
Ok so last night I went for my first massage. Feeling a little uncomfortable would be a major understatement. So i'm sitting there and she gives me the news..."Most massage techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed. It helps to relax better." I'm not really sure I agreed with that. So I get up on the table and i'm laying there thinking to myself..."there's no way i'm going to stay awake...this is way to comfortable." So she started on my calves...hmmm...this feels pretty good. All of a sudden she started going to town on my calves with what felt like elbows...the pain was taking my breath away. "how do u feel" she asked. "Most pain i've ever been in" I replied. She laughed and continued. She nearly brought me to tears when she started working on my shoulders. I swear she gave me the german claw for like 5 minutes. I even contemplated roaring...but I kept Bryan at bay and worked on trying to breath. It was definitely an experience like none other. When I was leaving I ran into someone who I recognized from around the shop...I quickly let her know that it probably wouldn't be something that she should mention to my grandfather...or anyone else out there. I'm still sore but i'm feeling more relief in the areas she worked on. I'm glad I got it done.
I said I was going to talk about trying to balance my personalities...but i'm running out of blogging time so I'll try to make it quick. Basically for the winter there was a lot of Tdiscpye and Bryan. Lately i've been working on more Ryan time which usually bumps Bryan from the mix and eats into Tdiscpye time. Ya it's really complicated and deep...i'll have to make a special blog for it.
Ok so tonight i'll be going for a run and swimming after that. This morning I chose to sleep in ONLY because I have a my whole evening free. Tommorow may be a rest day for the team, however we may squeeze in a bike ride. The Rumor has been going around that Tdisc may race on Saturday. I'll work on getting confirmation on that.
Till next time,

Too Tired
I'm up way to late for a triathlete. So i'm sacrificing the blog tonight for some much needed sleep. Afternoon blog to come tommorow. I will touch on these subjects.
1.Finding a 2 person kayak
2.Crying through a massage
3.Keeping a balance between Tdiscpye, Ryan, and Bryan.

Thank you Rain
This blog has been dedicated to the late Tubby.(The barn cat that passed away on the Trans Canada hwy last night.)
Ok so I was up past the start of the news last night which pretty much meant that I was going to be tired in the morning. With I sitting in the chair and Tdisckree on the couch we tried to drift off to sleep while being serenaded by the voice of Pierre McGuire. When all of a sudden Tdisckree popped up, shut off the t.v and said "Were triathletes...go to bed." Agreeing with him...I proceeded to bed doing everything in my power to get to sleep but just tossed and turned...sleeping off and on until 3 am when I got for a pit stop. In an attempt to get a little sleep before 6am I decided to pop a couple tylenol and go back to bed. It literally felt like I rolled over and the alarm went off. So I got up and reset the alarm for a much needed 12 minutes of sleep. I couldn't even sleep in that 12 minutes...all I could think of was "wow...i'm frigged." So I got up again...with the idea of trying to get some sort of breakfast into me...when all of a sudden I took a look out the window....it's raining! So I hollard to tdisckree..."I think we should go on our own today...it's pouring...not worth it today." Much to my surprise he replied "ok...call the admiral". "Oh no the admiral never changes plans" I thought to myself. So I decided to call and do something I don't like to do...lie. Looking out into a mist I called the admiral "Admiral...It's pouring out here...let's call it off." I was shocked when he uttered the words "ya that's a good idea...call rookflick." Knowing that rookflick was up 3 hours past his bedtime last night I figured..."If I can get a hold of him...i'm back in bed." So I called up rookflick "Rookflick...it's pouring out here...let's call it off." Instant relief came across my body at the words "ok...ya i'm tired." Bed!
My eating has just been pathetic...I think i've eatin leftover chicken balls for 3 days straight. It's almost to the point where i'm just getting a little to comfortable with where i'm at. Tdisc plans to crank it up a notch this week. Tonight i'll be doing my run followed by a swim. We'll also be swimming a couple more times this week with a few evening bike rides added into the mix. Saturday it's a kayak/canoe clinic...and preparation for the RiR. Should be a good week for Tdisc.
A special shout out to blog follower Logan MacMillan who is playing in the memorial cup. Big fella potted the game winner the other night in a big win over Windsor. Good luck Logan from all of us here at bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com.
Tdisc received an email today from a new blog follower who joined us on bikes this past saturday. It read "Just wanted to thank Tdisc in writing for giving me the pleasure of riding with them on Saturday's bike ride. Even though I nearly started a 20 car pileup, it was fun. Thanks.
ps. If you're driving and see Tracey on a bike, give her the right of way."

Ohhhh it's race day again!
So i'm sitting here blogging quite late...the blog has been real scattery lately and I appologize for that.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to celebrate Tdisckree's 29th birthday. Like triathlete's shouldn't do...we mucked down all you can eat chinese food and 3 different deserts. It was a great time of fellowship with people involved in some sort of a way with Tdisc.
Today I woke up to a lot of rain and cool temperatures. I was kind of disappointed because I didn't want to take 2 days in a row off. It cleared off around 11..so we decided to venture out for a bike ride. We dressed really warm and other than my feet I wasn't cold at all. We did a combination of sprints and just easy biking for a little over 2 hours around stanhope and Brackley. It was quite relaxing today...we were without Tdisct(w) so noone got the finger or gave the finger or got yelled at. Rookflick(burnout) decided to take a rest day.
Tommorow is race day! I'm a little concerned about it...I'm up way to late...and I haven't done a lot of running lately. I also haven't swam much lately...so tommorow night I am back to swim class...hopefully I am one with the water.
Incase your were still wondering...No we haven't found a canoe or kayak...Tdisc2 will be in a coleman.
Till next time,

Breaking news!
The first big news of the day came when flickthis won the fan poll and was given the right to speak to the Tdisc fans. Shortly after....it was announced through ellediva.com that she would be declining the very special opportunity that Tdisc had given her. "...I have no clue what to write about" said flickthis in a telephone interview with Ian hennamansing. Flickthis went on to say that she was just way to busy making hairclips to write a blog. Tdisc understands....were just not sure the fans will. Flickthis is in negotiations with Tdisc to arrange a blog at a later date.
The other big news of the day came when Rookflick finished 16th in the Rural Raiders 10k...in a time of 42:50. Tdisc was extremely happy with the way they were represented today. In honour of the great run today Tdisc has decided to cut Rookflicks tryout agreement by 10 Days! This is huge for Tdisc and Rookflick because on July 5th he will now be able to race in Fredericton under the name Tdiscflick.
For the rest of us we went on our own this morning and then gathered late in the afternoon for a bike ride. My run went pretty good...I just went for about 30 min. The bike ride in the afternoon was another story. Today Tdisc welcomed Mark Flood to the bike ride...Great to have ya there today Flooder...thought we lost ya at the Bridge. I've never been as scared on a bike as I was today. First we hit what looked like a patch of Kernals of corn. Just a miracle we all stayed up. Then making a left turn at the lights by the hillsborough bridge...Tdisc filled all the lanes and brought the traffic to a hault. I personally went across 3 lanes to bring it to the outside again. That was ok....next I hear a honk....so Tracey moves over to the shoulder of the road and let's the car pass....the car decides that they should let Tracey know that she should get over...so the car pulls up by Tracey and they are now roaring back and forth....next thing I see an 80 year old woman and Tracey giving each other the wavey middle finger going up the road side by side. It was something that I have never seen before. That was when we decided..."it's time to turn around." Just incase your wondering...Tracey's relationship with cars is about the same as the admiral's relationship with the cari pool staff member.
Tommorow we will probably go for a bike ride...and maybe a run.
Till next time,
Tdiscpye

The other big news of the day came when Rookflick finished 16th in the Rural Raiders 10k...in a time of 42:50. Tdisc was extremely happy with the way they were represented today. In honour of the great run today Tdisc has decided to cut Rookflicks tryout agreement by 10 Days! This is huge for Tdisc and Rookflick because on July 5th he will now be able to race in Fredericton under the name Tdiscflick.

Urgent Notice!
We are in major need of the fans help. As it stands right now...Tdisc2(admiral,Tdiscpye) are leaning towards scratching from the Red Island Relay due to insufficient equipment. If anyone knows of the whereabouts of a 2MAN KAYAK PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATLY. This would be a major blow to the start of the upcoming season.
Now...with that out of the way I must say it's great to be back on the blog. I'd like to thank my team who stepped in for me during a tough week. I think they did a great job...they all brought something different to the blog. On last night's blog there was a comment made that was taken out of context by a member of the team who replied to the comment. As blog administrator/author/ceo I carefully thought out the situation and decided to disallow the comment made by a Tdisc team member. At this time there will be no diciplinary action taken against that team member. Tdisc thanks the annonymous blogger for there support.
This week has been an extremely tough week for me. I've done a terribly poor job of separating my daily life and my training. Sometimes I get caught up in what I don't have instead of being thankful for what I got. I thank Rookflick for his blog...It was a good reminder of how lucky we really are. It really puts things in perspective.
For me this triathlon training is all about getting out of my comfort zone. Speaking of getting out of my comfort zone...I signed up for a massage this week. And like every other time i've stepped out....I'm clean terrified. I know I need it...and I know i'm going to feel better after...but it still spooks me. Deep breath!
Tdisc has decided to pull out of this weekends 10k race. We thought about it all week and decided as a team that it was best to scratch. However we will be sending Rookflick and corporate sponsor Flickthis. We wish them all the best tommorow!
As for the rest of the team we will run on our own in the morning and bike later on in the afternoon. We will be leaving at 4pm on the bikes...if anyone would like to join us than your more than welcome to....just notify us via a comment on the blog.
If you look at the poll on the side of the blog you will notice that barring a major push at the end by tdisct(w)....flickthis will be responsible for saturday's blog. I will be taking over from there and from now on every wednesday will be guest blogger day.
Till next time,
Tdiscpye

Motivation by RookFlick
Motivation - a motivating force, stimulus or influence. It is a wonderful thing. We all have it or have had it, at different times in our lives and for different reasons. It can change during a year, during a month or even during a run. And for some, it remains a constant; a daily reminder of why you are doing whatever it is you are doing. It can get you off of a couch, through a tough time or up an impossible hill. It can give you chills, make you smile or make you cry. It is something that pushes you when you are weak. Whether your motivation is money, winning, fame, being a hero, losing weight or whatever, we all deal with it one way or another. I like to wear my motivation around my neck. They are just letters and numbers scratched into metal but this simple piece of metal has taken me a long way. It has made me push. It has made me cry. It has made me pray.
Fifteen years ago my friend and teammate broke his neck playing hockey after crashing into the boards. He broke several vertebrae and crushed his spinal cord leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. After spending a year in hospital recovering and learning how to live with his disability he finally came home. For me, this is what you would call a life changing experience. Andrew and I were inseparable for the next few years. We had class together, ate lunch together hung out after school and on weekends. I was absolutely amazed watching him eat a meal or play a video game with no use or feeling of his hands and fingers. Just straws to suck and blow into and large buttons to hit with his hands. What an amazing person. He has come a long way, he had to. Physically, he is limited. He has been in a wheel chair since he was 15 years old. He has feeling from his head to about midway down his chest and arms. That is it. Mentally, he is the strongest person I have ever met. Not once in fifteen years have I every hear one single complaint about his situation...not once. How do you react to the news that you may never walk again. That you have no feeling through seventy five percent of your body. I don't know. I have so many questions that I just don't know how to ask. I do know that it takes a very special person to endure something of this magnitude. Andrew has the most positive attitude, it is truly amazing. He is very good at making you forget that he is in a wheelchair. I love this guy so much and would do anything for him. I think about him constantly. He is "my" motivation. Every time I run, every time I complain, every time I struggle, I think of him. I think about his struggles. I think about not being able to scratch my neck in the middle of the night. I think about not being able to get up and walk to the fridge and grab something to eat. I realize that my struggles and my complaints are silly. I realize that he would give anything to be able to run up that hill with me. I realize that complaining is not going to do me any good. He gives me strength and energy and the will to carry on. He taught me that a positive attitude can take you anywhere you want to go. And that it is contagious. Not a single run goes by without him along the way with me. I am very fortunate to have him in my life. He is my hero. That is my motivation

Captain Tdiscgreggy's blog
Hello Bloggers,
This is a special treat for me to be able to blog to those who have been such a big part of Tdisc. I first of all am very lucky to not only be a part of Tdisc but also who they call Captain. I am not sure why I was so honoured to be associated with this, maybe it was because I am yet to retire or have a melt down. Though today in the middle of the emyvale hills, I was close to losing it.
Today was a tough but very successful day for Tdisc, we started off this morning with our normal Wednesday weights followed by a longer swim. I enjoy Wednesday because it is hump day, (which is the day in the middle of the week, Kate) and because it is a longer workout. Most days are 45mins to an hour, Weds are usually close to a hour and a half. Even without our leader TDK (work) we had a good workout today. But as time went on and emails flew around today TDW decided she wanted us to go on a bike ride. So this evening, the admiral and I agreed and went, picking up TDP who biked to North River to meet us. Than we proceeded to home of the flickthis and to pick up the rook.
On the way to rookflicks I thought in my head I am getting better at the clips Admiral and I have not fallen yet..... that thought did not last long when I was adjusting my seat at our stop and heard “pye pye pye pye.” I turned and the Admiral was clipped in and going down. Lucky we were standing still cause he did not get hurt. Since he was not hurt we had a great chuckle, only to be interrupted by SH*T as the boys looked over and down goes greggy. Within 3 mins the two of us went down in a pile, again lucky we were not flying down a hill. Also a shout out to flickthis who ran after us chanting “ROOKFLICK, ROOKFLICK, ROOKFLICK” as she gave him a push start. I felt like an extra in Rocky 2.
This bike ride was my third time this year, and prob 10th time in the last 5 years. So I am not close to the speed and talent of the other tdisc members which got to me today. I was not mad at them just mad at myself for being so far behind in my leg strength. We went over 50km today with nothing but hills, and it was around an hour 53 mins. It was amazing to do, when I was finished but it just shows me how much work I need to do before Freddy.
Today was an extra hard day, but as TDP always says, “Tdisc got better today.” I agree. Even though spin in the morning might just rank up there with the hardest things I have done this week.
So as I sit here drinking green tea with no shirt on trying to represent the infamous TDP and his blogging ability as best I can, I leave you with this. If I made it through today, I will never quit. I also want to give a huge shout out to my team who gave me a great gift and was there to help me graduate, along with my family and friends. Tdisc is more than a group, team, or friends, we are a family.

Hump day comes one day early
Hello fans.
It is my extreme honor and privilege to be your blogger tonight. This will definitely be my first and last one. This will be short and sweet.
As you all know I am a school teacher. School has started to get a little hectic lately. I teach alt-ed and it has been mentally draining on me. There has been days where I wanted to do two a day workouts but when I get home from school I am so mentally drained and burnt out by 4pm that I don't have the energy. Only 33 more school days to go.
With that...spirits were high at the TTF today. I arrived at 6:25 am only to see rookflick sleeping on the floor waiting for tdisckree to arrive and let us in. We hit the road shortly after and kept a pretty steady pace. Our route changed this week, it did however consist of crossing in front of the fishbowl and getting the "rock on" signs from Zach and Colin. Recently race day has become a much more relaxed atmosphere. Everybody seemed to be in a good rhythm today, the only pit stop was tdisckree letting it all hang out in the middle of victoria park.
When we arrived back at the TTF, energy levels were still high. We got in a good stretch and headed for the showers. As I was showering I could hear my teammates talking about how good they have been feeling since they have joined. Rookflick has only been with us for 5 weeks now and said that his stamina and endurance has increased dramatically...(wink, wink).
I was asked in yesterdays blog to discuss a few topics, I will only touch on a couple. First, my ying fa rituals before a morning swim consist of me saying "Good morning Mr. Ying fa." I feel this brings me good luck in the pool. Second, my relationship with the front desk staff at the CARI pool is "just fair." No other comment will be made on this. As for Bryan Macphee, if he shows up at the Red Island relay the s*%$# will hit the fan.
Be sure to catch the guest speaker tomorrow, tdiscgreggy.

Guest blogger....Tdisckree
Hello Fans,
It is my privilage to be guest blogger tonight. I have blogged before and was actually promoted to interim author of bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com about a month ago when Tdiscpye had a brief retirment. I am glad that has only happened once and feel confident it won't happen again. The opportunity to blog allows each of us members to give the fans a closer look into the life and times of Tdisc. I hope you enjoy these special editions of the blog.
Mixed Up Monday
Over the next few months it will be tough for me to stay in sync with the team but we've established a pretty good routine over the past 8 months and I feel that I can adapt to the slight change to my training structure. For the next two months I will be unable to practice with the team on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. I train young aspiring hockey players on these mornings. However, I have a timeframe between 745 - 930 in order to train. Today as I was heading to the pool around 745 I met up with Tdiscpye, Rookflick, and Admiral. Tdiscgreggy's celebrations over the weekend made it tough on him to get out of the wrapper this morning. As I was coming into the changing room I overheard Tdiscpye and Admiral conspiring about the Red Isle Relay and about possible Kayak arrangements. They hushed quickly when they saw me coming. I didn't care because I know that Pye is too busy to mess around finding a faster Kayak than me and Greggy, and we know that the Admiral has placed a budget on Tdisc2 thinner then trick-wire. Rookflick was his happy-go-lucky self. Now that I think of it...Rookflick has had an absolutely amazing attitude through his tryout. He's been so good I can' t help but think that he is due for a complete meltdown and temporary retirement.
My training this morning was pretty straight forward...800 meters of swim, pull, kick, drill rotations (100m). I then completed 5 x 200 meters on 4:15 time. Basically, what this means is I swim 200 meters at a quicker than usual pace and have to start my next set 4:15 later. If I am quick I get a longer rest...If I am slow I only get a few deep breathes and launch off the side of the pool again. Tdiscpye apparently laboured through 400 meters in total. Two consecutive swims that could only be categorized as being horrible. Apparently, he has a cold that has affected his breathing. In a short statement from Tdiscpye, the Admiral was pounding it out from end to end and Flicker was tired. After a 45 min swim, I went on the stationary bike for 30 min and did intervals.
Tommorrow will be race-day. The course hasn't been released but will include a loop that crosses in front of the KROCK 105.5 Fishbowl. We hope to recieve a wave, fist pump, and on-air acknowledgement from Z-DIZZLE (Zachary Bell). For those of you who are awake at the 7 o'clock hour listen in !
Be sure to catch the blog tommorrow as the guest blogger will TDISCADMIRAL...he promises to discuss the following topics :
1. His Yingfa rituals
2. His relationship with the Front Desk Staff at Cari Pool.
3. His antics following the bike ride last sunday.
4. The stop lights at the Charlottetown Mall.
5. Bryan MacPhee

Super Saturday
I'll admit I wasn't really confident going into the big today...I just didn't feel great throughout this recovery week....but today that changed.
We started off on the bikes heading towards new glascow...all members were present except for Rookflick(baby duty). It was very hilly in the early going...my legs were feeling it right off the bat. We continued on and went out around new glascow and came back through oyster bed. It was much easier on the way back...we had a bit of a tail wind and it was flatter. When it was all said and done we were back at the admiral's after doing 45k. Everyone felt reasonably well. The temperature was beginning to rise... so we geared down a bit and threw on the running shoes and took off to do two 5.2k loops. I battled a stitch at the start but worked it out by the halfway point...the heat began to really bother me. At the halfway point tdisckree(work) dropped off. I felt much better on second loop...I finally found my rhythem. We completed the two disciplines in 2h15m. By the time I was finished of the run my body really felt like it did a lot of work...and it did.
We stretched for a bit and talked about Tdisc then left for a little R and R.
Today is a very special day here at Tdisc. We have the opportunity to honor our captain's accomplishments. Today he officially graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island. On behalf of the team and bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com....Congratulations Captain Tdiscgreggy!
Tonight we will celebrate as a team. We will first be making an appearance at Tdiscgreggy's party at Razzy's where we will make a special presentation on behalf of the team. Then we will continue on to an undisclosed location where we will continue the celebration.
Tommorow's mother's day....on behalf of Tdisc and Bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com we'd like to wish all mother's a very happy Mother's Day!

Just haven't got the job done
This week hasn't been what it should have been for me. I just haven't done enough to get better this week. I've taken time off but haven't used it properly. I read one time as a triathlete..."when you rest YOU REST". I haven't done that this week...and I tacked on a poor diet. I've kinda gotten comfortable with where i'm at and I can't be satisfied with that. We set high standards here at tdisc...."you can always do better." I had a good run tonight...and now i'm preparing for a tough swim.
As for the rest of Tdisc they went through a tough spin class with Tdisct(w) in the morning and will opt for a rest day tommorow before a very tough weekend.
Last night I wasn't sure what was going on...shortly after the blog this surfaced "I heard through the grapevine that Tdisc will head east again this weekend to do an extended bike course based on the Red Isle Relay route along with the 10k run route.
Also, caught wind the big 4 and the rook might be headin out to a local establishment to celebrate Tdisgreggy's academic accomplishments. Boy's are gonna let their hair down for the last time before Freddy." I have no comment on this at the present time.

60 days to go!
As I checked the blog tonight I noticed that we officially have 60 days till Fredericton. Time really does fly...it seems like yesterday we were staring down 275 days till the triathlon.
Today we were back at the weights. I was teamed up with the admiral while Tdiscgreggy took the rook under his wing. Tdisckree was there but was busy training the future of the NHL. We did a nice 30 minute circuit followed by a quick abs workout run by rookflick. It went pretty well...not a lot of talk...a lot more action. After the workout the boys left for the pool, but I decided to take the morning off the swim. Last week I pushed things really hard...so this week i've decided to cut my swimming back to 3 hours. I've caught a bit of a virus and battling a bit of soreness so this rest and relaxing may just be what the doctor ordered.
Tomorrow the boys are back to spin class with Tdisct(w) while tdisckree and I will probably go for a run. Friday will more than likely be an off day with a tough weekend ahead. Not sure exactly what's going on yet for the weekend...should know by tommorow.
Till next time,

A time of Reflection
As I sit here tonight(bare yingfa)...sipping on green tea...just thinking about what i'm going to blog about tonight. Tdisc let the legs do the talking this morning...then everyone exited on there own. So tonight i've decided to open up a bit on the blog...it'll kinda be like the diary room on big brother.
The last couple nights I haven't slept very well...partly due to a bad cold. I've just had that feeling...the feeling of a little nervousness. I've shut the tv off in good time...i've gone to bed early...but I just find myself tossing and turning and just thinking about everything. Back on day 1....when we announced to the world..."were doing the fredericton triathlon next summer"...I laughed thinking..."what's the chance of us doing a triathlon 8 months from now?". On day 60 I began to settle in to a bit of a groove and started to enjoy this new way of getting in shape. At about this time the idea of doing the fredericton triathlon began to grow a bit old...so we upped the ante..."boys, were doing the miami international triathlon". I thought this was great email material...but seriously...I was about 225 and just got to the point of making it to the other end of the pool without drowning and at about this point I hobbled my way to 10km in a run. Miami International triathlon? Not a chance.
Day 115...I got bored and decided to start a blog. Good way for us to chirp back and fourth and record our training. So I thought for 2 seconds about a name and came up with bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com. Like anyone was going to read it anyways! At this point it was new years and my food addiction was at an all time high. The next day the slogan came out..."This is the year of the triathlon." "Frig...there still on this triathlon kick...when should I tell them?" I thought.
Day 130 The blog hits the smooth cycle website...
Day 131 I install a hit counter....
Day 132 I realized I was frigged...people were reading this thing.
Day 133 I picked up a part time job....blogging!
Day 134 I had a meltdown...I got sick of this getting in shape...but I had this friggin blog to write.
On day 160 we began to up the pace...the season was quickly approaching...The blog began to get about 40-50 hits a day. Tdisc was struggling threw the dog days of winter...I think this is when we all realized...were in this for the long hall....I decided that I didn't want to drowned in Fredericton so I booked myself into a swim class.
Day 202 the day arrived...first road race. I was so nervous I was sick for 2 days leading up to the race. The race went well..I enjoyed the runners high...but realized...my running is way behind. Just incase I didn't drown in fredericton I decided to up my running.
Day 215...things begin to come together...I began to enjoy swimming...I was improving leaps and bounds...my running was improving and I was 5km/hr faster on the bike. "Holy frig I just might end up doing this sucker".
The week of Day 227 I swam 10000m, biked 130k, and ran 30k. "jeepers...I need to get a wetsuit."
On day 237 we went down and did 2 legs of the relay....238 we swam the race distance and did a 19k time trial..."I'm ready!"
When I went to bed sunday night...I tossed and turned because I know i'm doing this triathlon now. When I swam Monday morning...I was tired but there was no thought of quitting...Today was the same...I battled to stay close...cause I knew I had to find a way to get better on a bad day. Anyone can get better on the days they feel good...if you want to get ahead you have to find a way to get better on the bad days.
Today I cursed the 2 teamates who ran ahead of me...but after I had a chance to cool down I respect them for what there doing...working towards a common a goal...To become a Triathlete!
It's getting close...I just really didn't think i'd see this day happening.
I've been thinking tonight...How far have a come?
Day 1- swim- 10m continuous
Day 237-swim- 1000m continuous
Day 100- Run 10k - 1hr02min

Looking forward
Today wasn't quite business as usual for Tdisc. We showed up at the pool at different times this morning...some at 7 and some at 7:10 and some missed due to work. Noone seemed to swim real well...boys exited early and Tdiscgreggy and I hit the hot tub for a bit. I personally felt poor but I emotionally I felt strong...I battled through it...I just kept telling myself "I just gotta keep on Keepin on."
Race Day Tuesday may be back tommorow. We kind of got away from it and went for a nice run...but tommorow if history repeats itself...it will be one for the ages. The only medication for an admiral meltdown is a good dose of "run hard". My predictions are....Everyone runs pb's....someone breaks 40.....someone's career will be cut short due to major injury.
When rookflick signed the tryout agreement...he was given a notice that read..."Your yingfa's are ordered". Well on Sunday rookflick was presented with his own personalized pair of grey with orange trim Yingfa's. Rookflick had this to say after his first swim in yingfa "The Yingfa's make a huge difference in the pool. I was slippery out there, and a lot exposed." The best part about it was that he said frig the towel...and walked past the swimming lesson grandstand bare yingfa.
Sorry about the inconvienance with the site...not sure what happened. Google did however send and apology letter to bloggingwithtdisc.blogspot.com...and we have accepted the apology. I did throw me off a bit...When fans were telling me they couldn't get on the blog and then I couldn't get on...panic struck. When Tdisckree asked me "what are u going to do"...I replied "I don't know...I just don't know". Oh well...it's back...if you missed the admiral's profile be sure to check back 4 blogs and read it...it will be worth your while.
Till next time,

Streak ends at 223 days!
It was a run for the ages but on Sunday May 3rd the longest standing streak came to an end. On day 15 the admiral posted his first meltdown...but on day 16 it all started again and for 223 days he had a few hickups but no major meltdowns. Sunday began with a great cardio swim...we did 20 lengths 3 minute break, 20 lengths and a 3 minute break and then 20 lengths. It was great...spirits seemed pretty good as we followed with a little hot tub time. We went for a little rest time before going and doing the 19k time trial loop on the bike. We arrived...everyone seemed to feel pretty good. Our speed was pretty quick as we picked off a few bikers early on...about the halfway point we noticed the admiral was back a bit...that's when kree took a drink and said "he'll catch up". So we kept pedaling away...pushing it pretty good so we could get an idea of what me might be able to do the ride in. So tdisckree and I finished and the admiral was not to far behind but when he arrived...the conversation quickly went x-rated. "I suck at biking" roared the admiral while throwing his bike onto the car bike rack. "let's go for a cool down ride" replied tdisckree. "No I'm done...I suck at changing gears"...the admiral roared back while throwing his helmet into the back seat. Finally we coached him back out of the car and onto the bike for a cool down. "give me a drink" the admiral barked at me just before we cooled down. If you want more about this topic...there was 2 people who showed up at the wrong time who could give u a few more quotes.

Day of Preparation
With the Red Island Relay coming up at the end of the month...we decided to go down to brudenell and do 2 legs of the race. We started off with the 27k bike ride...it was good...the course is pretty fast...but today it was really wet and cool. I personally felt great on the bike...I was a little cold by times by my legs felt really good. After the bike ride we through the bikes in the cars and took off for a run. Early on I was really tight and stiff through the back...my stride felt really weird...It felt like I was hardly moving. I was really concerned at that point that maybe I underestimated how tough it was going to be running off the bike. At about the 3k mark I began to settle in and loosen up...from that point on it was the best i've ever felt running....I was in my pace...my legs were great...and my breathing was under control. We made a mistake late in the route and instead of doing 7.5k we ended up doing roughly around 10k.
There's no doubt about it that Tdisc got better today. Moral was at an extreme high. Everyone was really excited about what's to come for Tdisc.
For all of the people who witnessed the transition today....we appologize for all that nudity. It was more focused on speed than privacy.
With the Mother's day time trial only a week away...we will do the course again tommorow. We will swim in the morning and bike in the afternoon. "Just keep on Keeping on".
Till next time,

Tdiscadmiral Profile
Today Is a very special day here on the blog. We have the privaledge of bringing to the people the profile of Tdisc's top dog. He's the guy we work to protect and then set him free with the leaders. I'm extremely excited to be paired with this guy on Tdisc #2 for the Red Island Relay. When people ask me...what's your strategy for the Relay...I always respond the same way. "Just get the wristband into his hands." Tdisc's punctuality every morning is because of this guy...His "just go hard" mentality has given us stamina we've never had before. When we signed him back at the start of the season we knew he was going to be good...but not this good. This sucker might just be crazy enough to win a triathlon. When he's standing on the podium in London...I'll proudly tell people that I was a the other half of Tdisc #2. There would be no Tdisc without this guy...Ladies and Gentleman...Boys and Girls...children of all ages.........

In Preparation for Today's profile...The team each sent in a statement about the admiral.
Captain Tdiscgreggy-Admiral,
"What can I say about the Admiral, without a doubt the most determined individual I have ever met. If we say jump! He will jump until he jumps over the house. He was brought up as a strong competitive hockey player, who moved to the Island to get a education. He played hockey and did not stop till he was captain, he went to school and did not stop till he was the teacher, he liked a girl and did not stop till he married her, he was wanted to spread the brioux name and did not stop till he got her pregnant, he started training for a triathlon and will not stop till he wins Freddy beach.
He is a very respected man for being here for only a few years, and has sent a president in everything he does, from hockey awards named after him, to training so hard he gets a hernia but never misses a step. The admiral is named that for a reason, he will concur you and everything in front of him.
If he likes burnt English muffins, you like it.
If he likes his hair cut you like it
If he likes early starts you get up early
If he likes his Monday mornings off, you stay the frig in bed.
I am very proud to be the admirals roommate/brother in law and very anxious to see his results in Fredericton.
Tdiscgreggy"
TdiscKree-
"When asked to make a comment on the TDISCADMIRAL PROFILE...my immediate thought was "where do I start ?". Well I think it is important to make the following clear - The Admiral and John Brioux are "not" the same person. I met John Brioux in 98 when playing for the Peterborough Petes and have been friends ever since. John is a top-notch guy and a great friend. I arranged for him to meet Tdisctw and helped him with the early stages of his romance with her, I have also had the privilage to be in his wedding and look forward to having him stand in my own.
When we started with Tdisc we invited John. However, it didn't take long for John to be replaced by the competitor we now know as the "Admiral." The Admiral is driven, hard-nosed, relentless, insanely competitive, and an overall fierce individual. The Admiral follows the following creed :
THE ADMIRAL'S CREED
1. Be on Time !!!!!
2. Never get passed by anyone ... anywhere !!!!
3. Don't waste my time or money (warmups, stretching, and Cora's fall into this category)
4. DON'T EVER TOUCH MY YINGFA'S ! (or me when I'm wearing them)
5. Monday is a day of preperation for work (not a day that should be spent training.)
6. When you set a schedule...It should never be altered....EVER or you will pay !
Personally, I don't like the Admiral...but as an athlete I respect this character. Some days I wake up and hope that John shows up for the workout instead of the Admiral. However, when the Admiral shows up you better be there on time and ready to work. The Admiral forces you to run faster, pedal harder, and kick harder. The Admiral has made myself and the other members of Tdisc better, because he sets the tonne. I really don't think people understand how good the Admiral is. If he shows up ready to go in these triathlons...he will lay an absolute beating on good triathletes and I know you're questioning me right now...so I say come see for yourself. It will scare ya ! When we go to Freddy for our first Triathlon our theme will be "Shock and Awe," but don't be surprised if there is a large group of fans on the sidelines with Tdisc logos on the front and big bold letters on the back exclaiming " BEWARE THE ADMIRAL !"

"The admiral is an animal...that pretty much sums it up. He is a man on a mission. I love training with him and look forward to racing with him in a triathlon. He is always prepared, very dedicated and just always works his hardest. You just have to respect that. On a sad note I am still hoping that the Admiral will someday forgive me for secretly hiding a pair of Tdisckrees poop stained undies in his pillow case 5 years ago when we were roommates. I still get a good chuckle picturing him snuggling into his pillow every night with the soiled undies only millimeters from his face!!! Sorry Kree. hahahaahah"

"I have known John was a good runner for a long time now. I will never forget one summer evening when we went for our first run together..he had just returned home from a summer in Ontario where we may have worked
out once to prepare for hockey season. I had been running all summer long. The first half hour of an out and back course I felt great and I was totally pumped because I thought he was struggling a bit and I felt like I was cruising. In my head I was thinking 'this is great, he is hurting and I'm feeling awesome.' When we reached the turn around, he looked at me and said 'let's pick it up a bit.' I was slightly
devastated and recall that I couldn't speak the whole way back because I was working so hard to keep up. That was one of the most annoying days ever. Now that he is training and is in shape I'm scared to run with him alone. I need back up to hold him from running 1km ahead or to keep me from tripping him when he turns around and says 'come on, pick it up.'He will be great in the triathlon this summer."

ONe word to decribe the ADMIRAL ? Competitor
