Today was a very quiet day on the email front for Tdisc. It was just one of those days that you knew....everyone was focused on what they had to do to be ready on Saturday. Not wanting to change things up to much we decided to continue with the early schedule and arrive at the TTF at 6:30. We however declined to lift weights and did an extra bit of footwork and a longer stretch...finished off by a quick abs circuit run by the rook. We then proceeded to the pool with the only plan being....be in the hot tub by 7:30. I was still on a bit of a high from last night...Tdisckree tried to bring me down but he couldn't. For the first time in my training I completed the olympic distance swim. I did it in a much faster time than I expected...a time of 28 minutes. I think what really put me on the high was the fact that my last 100 was my best 100 of the swim.
Mr. Joshua Vessey showed up for day 2 of his tryout agreement...much to the surprise of Tdisc members and fans. I think a tough day in the pool would be an understatement....but in all fairness to mr. Vessey....he didn't have a pair of yingfa's to guide him through the swim.
Tdisckree gave a speech earlier in the week. Tonight it's my turn...i'm going to speak directly to the team via the blog.
Give 100 Percent
100% equals everything! When we are asking you to give 100 percent, we are asking you to give everything. We want it all! Do not save anything for later, do not relax, do not take a break to catch your breath, give us everything you've got from start until finish! Leave it all in Brudenell.
It won't be easy. Giving 100 percent isn’t for the faint-of-heart. It takes a lot of heart, passion, determination, drive, energy, and willpower.
It’s going to hurt! There is going to be pain, sweat, and adversity. You are going to doubt yourself before you get there. You will wonder if you can do it, and you will try to talk yourself out of giving it your all. You are going to see "easy ways out." All along the way you will be presented with ways to give less of yourself.
You will find yourself reaching for that "easy button." Press it and you instantly travel the easy road. That's fine if the "easy button" gets you the results you desire. However, at the Red Island Relay, the "easy button" isn't going to get you where you want to be. Giving 100 percent, working hard, being smart, and seizing the moment- that's what will get you the results we desire.
The best triathletes the most successful triathletes are those who mentally block out pain, fatigue, doubt, and despair. Super triathletes focus on pushing beyond their limits, drawing energy from untapped reserves, hope, success, and reaching the finish line!
Don't ever forget...your representing Tdisc, be the best you can be and give us 100 percent on Saturday! em>
Tomorrow will be a full off day. The countdown is on!
Till next time,
Tdiscpye

WOW...one word, three letters and a boatload of amazement! Tdiscpye, that make me want to jump in the harbour, swim to Stratford, bike to Borden and run across the bridge. Thanks.
