We just finished up our Tdisc mixer/pep rally. It was at screaming success...were really full from supper and super pumped up. We had a few touching speeches in a closed door meeting...The topic was "bountiful harvest". We also read a speech from one of the finest men to ever dawn the canoe at the Red Cross Relay. It read...
To the members of team TDisc:
As you prepare for the morning and your nerves are wearing thin,
Trust that your chains are oiled and your tires will surely spin.
As the day wears on and your spandex grows tighter,
On the ground, your feet are sure to become lighter.
When you begin to tire and your legs are growing weak,
Don't forget your competitors are about to peak.
Your teammates are no longer, and today become enemies,
Keep your fingers crossed that their muscles will seize.
All the training and dieting will no doubt end in glory,
To be retold numerous times in a drunken story.
So sleep well tonight and get your much needed rest,
When the time comes settle for nothing but the best.
And Remember, the Red Island Relay is all about RISK,
And nobody holds a candle to TEAM TDISC!!!
Good Luck Boys!!!

Tomorrow is a big day for Tdisc. Expectations are extremely high and none are higher than our own expectations. We've had a good taper week...let's hope it pays off. We've made a pact to leave it all on the course and let the results look after themselves. The season is here. Time to enjoy the moment. Good night from Tdisc headquarters at 195 Blue Heron Lane.
Till next time,
Tdiscpye
